Jumping ship ....Switching parties 9-1

  Will this be a trend for the November Election and 2012?
  Democrat have little hope and far less change now……..and stopped believing and woke up?

  This happens a lot in the primaries. It's used as a strategic move by the parties to "stuff" the ballot box for the other parties weeker opponent. Come the general election, those same jumpers will be back voting with their "true" party.

  I'm not going to deny that there probably will be a good many switching parties in November or in 2012, but this really isn't any indication of that at all.

  So what you're saying is the Republics don't have to switch parties to stuff the ballat box with a weeker opponent becasue the Democrat are already running their weeker canidates or is it that the Republician don't have to use this strategy ?

  Both parties use it. Repubs did it last year trying to get Hillary's campaign over the top.

  Along the lines of topic, my mother just commented the other day that she was tired of Charlie Wilson, Ted Strickland and Obama and was going "to vote off of their standard".
  I imagine that there will be alot of folks voting for a switch.

  Of course those events were something...
  
  But, considering that this sort of thing is pretty common regardless of the political climate, it really can't be quite on the same level as those events. It is closer to being "nothing" than "something."

  Are you calling a Republican winning the Governor's seat an upset or a big deal in Virginia?

  It isn't a big deal in Virginia. They've voted for the opposite party of the President quite regularly.
  
  
  
  And the switching of parties for primary elections is as old as the hills. I once switched so that I could vote against James Rhodes twice in one year. Sadly, the carnival barker won re-election, so my votes were wasted.

  This is just shuffling back and forth between wings of the Republicrat Party. Not really a big deal. When the repubican wing recaptures control of Congress, they'll play the part of no just like the dumbocrats did under Bush. If they get the presidency then, they'll go back to their big spending, big government ways. We've heard this song and dance from the repubics before in 1994 and 2000 and there wasn't much done to really change the country to more of a Constitutional footing.
  
  Both wings of the party love big government, big spending and giveaway trade that has crushed our manufacturing sector and made us a dependent nation for the first time in nearly a century.
