Ohio University 2010-2011

So, everyone on these forums is a Buckeye fan which is great, but lets give some of our time to the Bobcats. (I cannot bring myself to start a KSU thread).

After the rebound year OU had this past season, it should be very interesting to see where they gp from here. They graduate 4 starters but look to be able to fill those spots with some very worthy underclassmen. Here is what I see their lineup looking like:

125- Ramos (3rd in the MAC, had some great wins)
133- Keyes ( been on the edge the past 2 season, can he end his career at nationals)
141- Lindsey (AA this season, great career, hard worker)
149- Not sure here- they have multiple time state champ Squire coming in- he could fit here, they also have the hard nosed Spellman here
157- Lang (could be a stud if he is anything like his brother)
165- this is a big question mark- possibly Wilson or Kline
174- Purdue (a small 184 this past season, he could make the cut as a returning NQ)
184- could be prized recruit Duckworth or Sanders who had a great redshirt year
    197- Schuth (returning MAC champ)
HWT- Johnson (had a solid redshirt year and could steal the spot from Hartshorn)

Any other insights I am missing? Should be a pretty solid team.

There best days are behind them. ;)
Just razzin'. Trying to show that there is no ill will towards girevik.

Anywho, my circle of friend(s) were impressed with Lindsey. We are also impressed with their recruiting classes the last 3 years. I hope things work out great for them as they move forward.

In all honesty, I' love to see a time (maybe a 5 to 7 year stretch) in which the Bobcats, the Buckeyes, (sorry, coach, but) KSU (monarchpride is jumping for joy!) are all three just stellar - maybe like #15, #11 and #7 in the nation, and then have them all wrestle each other. Bring in an Ivy League or even an ACC team for a full 3 duals. That would be awesome!!!

This could all be possible too. As I mentioned, OUs incoming kids have a great deal of potential, KSU is well on their way to moving in the right direction, and (HOMER!!!) the Buckeyes are SWEET!!!!!

huntergreen: pull the strings necessary to make these three ready to go in January 2013. Put it far enough out to use as a recruiting tool. Good GOD, we can do this!!!

We could do a major quad with the Cruisers, Marysville, Big Nut and probably Eds to try to challenge us a bit right before the super college quad. St. Johns would be packed.

HA!!! Should we bring our 'B' squad!? Or just stop training for the 10 days leading up to the meet and have everybody wrestle up a weight class!?!

I'lll tell you what... in an attempt to make it close to a level playing field, we'll wrestle left-handed.

Make it an Ed's/Graham All-Star team and we'll be in. With the above stipulations still in tact! :D

In all honesty, I'm down! That would (hopefully) mean we would get a guaranteed 10-12 wrestlers there!

Better yet, we could get a number of the best returning district teams (based on underclassmen points at the district tournament) to have a bracketed dual meet tournament that day! Ooooooh, you're getting me fired up, huntergreen!!!!!!!!
