I guess you couldn't see that I had my "sarcasm font" on.....Con_Alma wrote: There was confusion?? I though it was clear personally. -
Con_AlmaYou guessed right! Lol. I might be the only one who missed it. Sorry for draggin' it on.
-
I Wear PantsI was so confused by
"Least wins coming in: 112 Connor Cassady (St. Paris Graham - Freshman) 12-4"
for just a second. Then I realized 112 was his weight and felt silly. I was all "112 wins as a freshman?" -
I Wear Pants^ Cool story bro

lowsingle174HAHA^^^ +1

SantaCarlaDivision 2. The thought of division 2 spawned thousands of years ago, when smaller tribes did not have the numbers to go against the dominant tribes of the area.......
Thus, a village chief in the Middle east started a league where smaller villages competed against smaller villages.
this is a great fact. -
mrblondeWell, if St. Paris Graham was one of these "smaller tribes" maybe the native americans would still have their land, because nobody could take it away from them.
-
SantaCarlaFalse. It started in the Middle East. This would not of affected the native tribes of the Americas.

More to come later...maybe... -
cruiser_96Well done!
Here are some of the ones I just compiled for DI...
Clean Sweep for a District Tournament: 285. All four Ashand representatives placed and did so 1st through 4th. Impressive to say the least.
Each District Represented in the semis... 3 times: 140, 171 and 215.
Semifinal losers to conso semi winners... of the 28, 15 won and 13 lost.
I thought about compiling the records of the state champs.
I did figure out that the top 10 in the team race was comprised of 3 from each Ashland, Mentor and Fairfield. The Darby District placed one in the top 10 and the was the Monarchs. Pick. North was 11th by a point and a half. Arrgh... -
ksig489Total match record by each district:
Claymont: 73-116 (38.6%)
Firestone: 120-99 (54.8%)
Goshen: 107-93 (53.5%)
Marion: 120-112 (51.7%)
Something else I noticed when looking through...NO ONE who lost to Felipe Martinez won another match in the tournament. He was the tournament killer for all of his opponents. They went a combined 0-4 after losing to him which of course meant that counting their match with him, they were 0-8 from the time their match started with Felipe. -
ksig489Where did the top 10 teams come from?
Marion - 5
Firestone - 3
Goshen - 1
Claymont - 1 -
ksig489What happened to the semi final losers?
Both wrestled for third 7 times (103, 112, 119, 130, 171, 189, 285
One made it to the third place match 5 times (125, 140, 145, 152, 160)
Both dropped to the fifth place match 2 times (135, 215)
4 wrestlers in the semis "triple dipped" and lost out to 6th place -
ksig4894 district champs went "2 and out"
0 from Firestone
1 from Goshen
1 from Marion
2 from Claymont -
I Wear PantsI'd say Firestone is still the district to beat.
-
ksig489Returning qualifiers next year by district (basically the number of underclass state qualifiers from each place):
Claymont = 31
Marion = 30
Goshen = 28
Firestone = 26
This makes Firestone the "oldest" district and Claymont the "youngest". -
ksig489Placers by district:
Marion = 36
Firestone = 29
Goshen = 27
Claymont = 20
I would say that overall Marion is the district to beat...less "star power" but considerably more depth. Marion also had half of the top 10 teams. -
futurestatechamp^^^ agreed lol.
