I haven't seen Boyd wrestle, but from everything I've heard it sounds like most people have him up at 1 or 2 here so that's where I'll go.Bitterrunner-up wrote: BuzzBomb...If you don't mind me asking, what's the reasoning behind Terry slipping to #4? He's 29-4, only Boyd has fewer losses. He's one of three returning State qualifiers in the bracket and went 1-2at The Schott (just like Boyd and Strope). Is it a little Central Ohio bias or have you seen him and think his skills are a step below the Columbus wrestlers? Brakeman has him five spots behind Boyd, but Brakeman has Boyd three spots behind Strope, and we all see how that went last weekend. It would seem to me that the Strope/Terry quarter will be one of the highlight matches Friday night.
I'm also interested to see McDougle/Longwell in the quarters.
I've seen Strope Terry and Morehart all at the Porter.
Strope looked the best out of those three beating Terry in the finals 10-5.(I actully thought the best looking kid that day was the frosh from Ole McHugh). Morehart only lost 6-3 to Terry in the semis. So unless it was just an off day for Terry that's how I'm basing it on. H2H. That doesn't mean things can't change in rematches though. I haven't seen Mcdougal this yr but saw him alot last yr in MS and he is very tough.
Timchenko is the real deal, I thought Longwell could beat him at the Sectional final but it didn't happen.
Don't give up on Longwell though. He could pull the surprise as I really haven't seen anyone give him much of a shot. -

I thought 119 also!cruiser_96 wrote: I think 119 is stellar and has been since the start of the season. Very deep.
I added an extra one just in case someone makes an excellent argument for a third weight class.
lowsingle: districks????????? Darn that Flea and his classmates.
That's without a tough Swavely that didn't make it thru a beast of a Westland Sectional at that weight. -

I based my rankings on seeing the Strope/Terry result from earlier this season (10-5 in favor of strope)...i really dont think Strope is 5 points better than Timchenko...so i based my rankings souly on that...
then again...it isnt hard for a 6-5 match to turn into a 10-5 match on a last second botched throw attempt or some other crazy feet to back situation (or a healthy lead late to turn into an overtime loss, as with Boehm and DiSabato in the district finals last year at this weight)... -
ShankapotamusI believe McDougal has also beaten Terry this year at Fairmont.

if that is the case i may have to rethink my rankings further...
