Rough draft. I need more names. Feel free to put anyone in any spot you want to.. -
sackerdrag_135I can't believe there are that many guys with the last name West in the city league.
-
lowsingle174LOL, add the names to the school if you'd like. I don't have many results from a lot of the teams. Either that, or I don't feel like looking them up!!! You make the choice..
-
sackerdrag_135We actually had a kid named Joe West come out for the team this year. Alas, he did not make it past the second day of conditioning.
-
sackerdrag_135By "Ricky Bobby" do you mean my boy Ricky D in the place to be? Rick the Ruler? THe Grand Whizzard? Boy that kid is "Slick".
Knock em out the box Rick. -
lowsingle174I don't think that Davis From Briggs will wrestle Leach from Whetstone. If I was a betting man, my money would be on one of them jumping or dropping a weight class to avoid the other. I do think the nod Goes to Leach though. He is pretty solid.

How do you see Davis and Leach matching up with the East kid?lowsingle174 wrote: I don't think that Davis From Briggs will wrestle Leach from Whetstone. lowsingle174If that is the Case at the city tourney, 135 wold be the best weight by far. But, as I mentioned, someone will move. Walls, East' 135lber is pretty tough. I don't want to prognosticate, but I think he can go with Leach and Ricky Bobby. I think it is decided in the third by a tight call on the edge of the mat. Walls has some serious athletic ability, which, you know is the great equalizer. I am leaning towards Walls making the finals, and knocking off one of the two tops seeds if they all stay at 135.
-
Tjones85you could probably throw in jamison from centennial who was a 3rd placer last year...but yea 135 sounds like a monster weight
-
lowsingle174I don't think jamison Poses a threat to either of the mentioned above, although, he is a strong wrestler. I would like to see Leach wrestle either Walls or Ricky Bobby. Davis and walls have a similar style, where as Leach has a more physical style.
-
lowsingle174I anticipate some weight class jumping in two weeks.
some strong favorites:
112 Flea Boyd
125 Tien Trihn
152 Ealy
160 Derrick Neimester
171 Lamont Sanford Ford
189 Jason Russell Terrier
215 Trudell -
80babyThis could be the toughest weight class in the city if everyone stays here. I would have to say that Leach leads the pack he’s the returning Champ and he has a victory over last year’s runner-up Davis earlier this. We will definitely have a clear picture if Leach and Jamison wrestle in their schools annual dual prior to the league championships. I think that it will come down to these two key points. First seeding will there be balance or will everyone run from the top seeded kid. Finally, who wants to jump start their post-season with the title in this weight class rolling into sectionals. All 4 of these kids will be in different sectionals Leach at Westland, Davis at Watkins, Walls at Amanda and Jamison at Licking Heights. I’m looking forward to watching these kids get at it on the mat. As for the overall team championship Marion Franklin is the team to beat. The team race between 2nd through 5th place will be interesting to watch.
-
knightflyer150135 is a great weight!
I do think Jamison is a step behind these guys based on results: he was 4th at our tournament, while Walls won it.
I can't imagine one or two of these guys doesn't bump to 140. -

Lehnen (WH)
Martin(Mi)
Wright (MF)
Johnson (W)
Hewlett (CE)
(south kid)
Whetstone kid as seen all the other but the MF kid mifflin went into OT with him. No big 103 here all are small freshmen. Could we see a 4x champ come out of this weight would be nice to see that happen sometime.
112
Messer (MF)
Little (WR)
Conkling (WH)
Curtis (CE)
Top three are close in competition i do know that tourit has made 112 so that could make things interesting but think this is going to be what happens.
119
Boyd (MF)
Tuttle (WH)
Tourtit (Ce)
Bruner (S)
Probably the weight with the most "Qualifiers" in all the weights. Boyd a 2x SQ , Tuttle a DQ and DA, Bruner was a DQ at 103 last year and then Tournit is also tough.
125
Thrin (BK)
Ross (IN)
Stanely (CE)
Moore (WH)
A tough weight class here but think thrin wins it and the competition between the next 3 is very very close
130
Marang (WH)
Newtzling( CE)
Addik (W)
Booner(BK)
Intersting here the top two have faced twice and split once by points and another by pin. But while Newtzling lost to marang, Marang lost to Addik and Addik lost to Newtzling.
Only one way to find out whos top and thats on the mat.
135
Leach(WH)
Davis(Bg)
Walls(E)
Hummell (CE)
Martienze (W)
Bibler (MF)
Probabaly the most stacked weight by far in the tournament
140
Smith (Bk)
Jones (MF)
Jamison (CE)
Bingham (WR)
Kessler (W)
Bingham and Jamison could challenge the top two semis are going to be a banger here.
Then i Know that Hasani made 140 last so that could make things interesting at 140-145
145
Robinson (BK )
Hasani (CE)
Baker (W)
By FAR the most muscel Robinson and Hasani are both Brick Houses
152
Ealy(BK)
Reese (MF)
Busby (E)
Pea (NL)
Dean (BG)
Ealy has just to much experince but the others are good to.
160
Nemister (W)
Burny (BK)
Nemister has been hot all year but Burny beat him i believe last year so that might play a roll. Busby is a Strong wrestler and could make for a good match up with Burny in Semis
171
Ford (BK)
Bidlack (MF)
Top two wrestlers in this weight the rest is wide open.
189
Russell (W)
Summers (MF)
Ross (WR)
Hautt (Ind)
Evans (CE)
Top two kids here make for a good match last time they met summers lost by 1 but russell hasnt lost in the City Ross takes the 3rd spot and Hautt the 4th
215
Turdell (WR)
White (MF)
Gutierize (Indy)
285
Hicky (MF)
South Centennial Mifflin West and Whetstone have heavys so the battel for second and the other places is wide open -
lowsingle174Nice Ranks and thoughts T.Jones. I think that the city scores are going to be a LOT closer than people think.
-
Westie101Neimeister tech'd burney 2 years ago...thats the only time they have met.
-
lowsingle174I am sure that Busby and Pea will be at 152. Reese Wrestled Busby for 3rd and 4th at Grandview and won, Busby beat Pea in an early round at the same tourny. One of them may actually be at 145, not sure yet though.

lowsingle174Any changes on weight classes this week?
