Question(s) for Refman

  • MatGeek
I understand that if a match gets past the SV OT period that the wrestler who scored first points gets choice unless he had an unsportsmanslike called against him.

    Who gets choice if:

    1) Both wrestlers have UC penatlies
    2) Neither wrestler has an UC but a coach does?
    3) The score after the SV period is 0-0

    Thanks for the help.

After the one minute SV period, there is a flip of the disk to determine choice for the 2 30 second tie breakers. If still tied after the 2 30 second tie breakers you go to one more 30 second ultimate tie breaker. 1st point(s) scored gets choice up or down. If neither wrestler scored (if there was USP like on a wrestler their would be points, if both got the penalty the one who received the points for the penalized wrestler first has choice unless penalized at same time flip the disk. Coaches USP has no bearing on this, that is for the tiebreaker if the teams are tied at the end of the dual) but if no score you flip the disk again. Hope that helps.

Thanks Fab1b. I knew some of that an messed up my post. Is the following summary correct?

start of SV = neutral (OT1)
still tied after OT1= coin flip for choice - can't choose neutral
    OT2 - 30s
    OT3 - 30s
still tied after OT3 - choice goes to first points unless USP, if 2 USP's still first pts unless at same time., if 0-0 , or "same time USPs" - coin flip
