Central District Coaches Poll #6 - 1/20/10

  • wrestling101
yes very true wingman, but if you recall correctly schembri kept wrestling through out hartsell vs schembri the first bout the second time he looked like he was done at the middle of the second. i have been to every meet and i have seen what schembri does to good kids, absolutely destroys them, and i think hes to fast for kowaleski im sure schembri will take it. but schembri vs. luft might be another story
  • wingman87th
Yes, I think he will take Kowaleski. Luft very tough, so probably close. Maybe he's destroyed, so then you see the Luft loss was not so bad. lol
  • 222
Kowaleski is just starting to peak, I say he can hang with both.

Have Higgins and Wolfe Met this year? if so what was the result?
  • USMCdevil05
I don't think they have. Higgins just recently went to 135 and wolfe has been there for most of the year. That would be a good one though!
  • Dirtyscramble
I'm sure they know there styles all to well i watched them wrestled each other at open mats all summer
  • USMCdevil05
Still would be a sweet match!

I just saw the Reynoldsburg heaveyweight dominate last night. Has he lost this season? He's ranked #2. I'm a little sheltered, but I just don't see him getting beat.

I saw him get pinned in the finals at Marion Elgin last weekend. I think he had lost previous to that though. You're right....he's a monster!

Gladstone (Findlay) and Karageorge (Thomas Worthington) are very impressive! Both physically and skill-wise. Should be some awsome battles coming up.

have Marrero Reynoldsburg and Karageorge Thomas Worthington Met this year ?
  • olderlion97
    Dad4sports, thanks for the info
  • cruiser_96
Marrero and Karageorge have not met that I know, however, there is a chance that they could on Feb. 6th @ Thomas Worthington.

Marrero took 3rd at Brecksville. Not a tough tournament but 3rd ain't bad. ...I guess. ;)

I know it was last year, but Karageorge pinned Marrerro in the sectional finals. IMO I think Karageorge wins are district fairly easy.

Bravesman...Can I take you to Vegas?? ...Canal had a full and healthy lineup for the first time on Thursday (71-9 win over Fairfield Union) and carried it into today....maybe displaying some of the "potential" that you mentioned with a huge win over D1 #2 ranked Teays Valley (34-32) and then slugging it out with D1 #8 Hilliard Davidson in a 1 point loss (39-38) today at the Gahanna Duals.

CDVA.....maybe my glasses weren't as maroon-colored as you think...no more "potential" here....just some pretty solid results. The kids wrestled their butts off today.....

That is not too surprising to a lot of people. People know what Canal has, especially with Rosch back.

On another topic, some very good matches today in West Jefferson between Desales, Big Walnut and West Jeff. Prather and Worley came down to the last minute with Prather getting some late back points to get the win 9-7. Brown at 215, who just came back on Thursday, had a nice win over Fabry. At 130, Gase defeated Harr with a late takedown. And Wilson bumped up from 112 to defeat White from BW 3-1. It was a great match with a scramble takedown as the only offensive points of the match. Wislon has a great career ahead of him. Desales other great freshman had a nice win ver Feucht from West Jeff at 103.

Desales beat Big Walnut 36-34 while West Jeff dominated their duals with both teams.
