Two Central Ohio spring & summer clubs (Horsepower Wrestling Club run out of Delaware Hayes HS and Sergei Kitaev’s Wrestling Club run out of Worthington Kilbourne HS) teamed up with Otterbein University’s Coach Rastetter to create one MONSTER club and THE place for eager HS and collegiate wrestlers to train in the off season. This means more practice partners and more coaches for your training needs! Many coaches and clinicians will be combining efforts and knowledge to offer a complete off-season training package that includes technique instruction, strength training, film study, mental preparation, cardio training, nutritional guidance/suggestions, and coach representation at spring and summer competitions. All training sessions are held at the Clement Recreation Center at Otterbein University in Westerville. We will use Otterbein’s wrestling room and the adjacent gym where we’ll put down two mats. There will be AMPLE training space. This club is ideal for all hard-working high school and college wrestlers in Central Ohio who want to gain a competitive edge.
Membership: Spring and summer membership includes all instruction at practices, strength training, film study, facility usage costs, coach representation at spring and summer competitions, and a club t-shirt. Membership does not include tournament fees, travel costs, or additional gear (singlets and additional clothing items will be available for purchase).
Training Sessions: CWC trains on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the spring and summer from 7-8:30p in the Clement Recreation Center at Otterbein University.
Competition Schedule: The dates of all our events have not been finalized, but we plan on traveling to most of the USAW qualifiers, the AAU Junior Olympic Qualifier, NHSCA Nationals/Duals,and the FILA Cadet/University Nationals.
Pricing:
Option 1: Spring Only. $120. 3/21/17 - 5/12/17. 16 practices every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8:30p. Competitions include: USAW Regional Qualifiers, AAU Junior Olympic Team Ohio Qualifier, NHSCA National, and USAW State.
Option 2: Summer Only. $80. 5/23/17 - 7/20/17. 17 practices every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8:30p. Competitions include: FILA Cadet/University Nationals, 2 team dual tournaments.
Option 3: Spring and Summer. $150
Option 4: Drop in rate. $10 per session.
Sign-up and Registration: Sign-ups will take place on the first night of practice. Please arrive a 30 minutes early that first day for registration so we can start on time!
