138 Initially I thought that this weight class would have more competition but Luke Hernandez (3V) and Dominic Hathaway (RB) have dropped to 132. Expect district qualifiers Isaac Roussos (WS), Ian Mayberry (DH), and Jacob Hutt (GL) to take the first 3 spots.
145 Riley Amador (HB), Garrett Young (DH), Matt Kennedy (WM), Caden Walcott (3V), Tai Collins or Bradley Collins (PN), Ray Gordon (WS) -
Dust_E_RoadsLove the way Hathaway wrestles. Was it Mayberry (DH) who he had the ridiculous match with at Sectionals last year? To date, one of the most entertaining matches I have ever (I mean e-v-e-r witnessed). Shame one of them had to lose.

Dust_E_RoadsAt HWT, I'll say Spiker (3-V) prevails over Skinner (LO) either 1-0 in regulation or 3-2 UTB.
Falls (PN), Lance (DH), Chrisman (WS) and Wolfe (CW) will feast upon each other for the 3-4 slots.
Falls may have peeked a little early, otherwise I would give him the nod for one of the 2 slots. Lance is probably the most technically sound of the group, being a year 'rounder with the Pacers. Wolfe has come a loooong way since first taking up the sport last year. Chrisman is streaky. I've seen him blow people away and get blown away. Bracketing and matchups will be huge here. I don't see any in this group challenging Spiker. Someone in this group might be able to upend Skinner, if they can manage a takedown. -
iGranbyYep, that was Mayberry.

What year is Patterson ? He was a beast back in his youth days . -
Dust_E_RoadsSeeding question, as it will be a big deal for the HWTs at Watkins. My understanding is that the criteria is SC, SQ, DP, overall record.
Assuming this is true, none in this Sectional meet the first 3 so it will fall to record. I believe Spiker and Skinner (in that order) would grab the #1 and #2 spot as each only has a handful of losses and none has losses to the others in the Sectional (unless I am mistaken).
Of the next 4 (Wolfe, Falls, Chrisman, and Lance), I believe Wolfe has the fewest losses, but also perhaps the fewest wins (missed some meets due to skin and ACT if I am not mistaken).
Winning %'s for all of them probably range from 70% to 80%. Tons of crossover matches though: Wolfe beat Falls, Chrisman beat Wolfe, Falls beat Lance, Lance beat Chrisman, etc.
Is this where the appeal/challenge process would come in? Each coach lobbying for their guy or will it go by straight %'s? -

cruiser_96Dust_E: If I have it right, your first line is correct. But I think head-to-heads can be used for contesting a seed, but not common opponent.
Skin check, weigh-ins, "seeding meeting" in that order for sectionals. -

Best of luck to you, good sir. First one to Darby saves a seat in the hospitality room! (Heard it is going to be dynamite yet again.)It is what it is;1782302 wrote:I like our chances at several weights! 2-4 getting out to Darby would be a tremendous accomplishment!! : thumbup:
