paul.petrellaI have posted below the form for the 2015-16 Bishop Hartley youth wrestling (grades 1-8). Grades 1-6 will again compete in the Russ Hellickson youth league while the Junior High team will have a very competitive schedule. We offer experienced coaches and a competitive room for the Junior High. The past 2 years, the junior high team has finished in the top 3 of most of the tournaments we have entered. 2012, 2014, 2015 CCL Wrestling Champions, 2014 & 2015 CIT Champions (small school)
2013 & 2015 OHSAA Regional Team Runner-up, 2014 OHSAA Regional Team Champion (State Qualifier)
Participants: Any male student in grades 1 – 8
Where: St. Charles Wrestling Room (grades 1-6), Bishop Hartley Wrestling Room (grades 7-8)
When: 1 – 6 grade – Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm – 7:30pm. (Practice begins Nov. 10)
7 – 8 grade – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. (Practice begins Nov. 9)
PRACTICE CONCLUDES SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2016. SIGN-UPS: There will be a mandatory parent meeting in the Bishop Hartley cafeteria from 6:00 – 7:30pm during sign-ups on Monday, October 26, 2015. Parents can also send their sign-ups by mail to Paul Petrella.
Cost: $110 required fee for the season. (which includes a T-shirt) This fee also covers the Russ Hellickson league meets for 1st – 6th grade and tournament entry fees for the 7th – 8th grade team. Competition singlets will be issued to all team members for use in meets. Junior High team members will be issued head gear for the season and receive shorts and shirts.
Meets: Wrestlers who are in grades 1 through 6 will participate in Hellickson league sponsored tournaments. There will be four Sunday meets in January, followed by a season ending tournament in February. Junior High team members will have a schedule with meets in December, January and the first two weeks of February. Most matches are on the weekend.
