OHSAA Realignments
-
Dust_E_RoadsAnyone want to venture a guess what the realignments will do the Central District. Assuming he enrollment numbers for football hold, I would think there will be a large influx if schools from DII to DI, namely a ton of the City League schools (Marion Franklin, Walnut Ridge, Centennial, West, etc.). Unfortunate for a lot of these programs given where their programs developmentally.
My larger question relates to the teams that constitute Darby district. I don't know that any who were DI will not drop to DII, so this means possibly 5-8 more teams in the Darby District. Does the District just absorb this additional teams as is? Do some of the "valley" schools (Zanesville, Logan, Tri-Valley) move to a NE District.
Hopefully they want have to divide Darby District up and send some team to Fairmont, similarly to what they did in DII football (cutting Franklin county in half).
