Olentangy Orange Tournament/Duals?
-
BSFADoes anyone know what teams will be participating in the Olentangy Orange Tournament? And is it a bracket tournament or team dual format?

Brackets, 12 teams, wrestling starts at 9 AM. I will post seeds late Thursday night. -
BSFAGreat. Thank you very much!

cruiser_96Awards for the individual champs???
-
snugglyhippoWhat will be done in the event of only 8 competitors (or less) in a weight. Many of these schools do not have full teams. Will it go to pools? In the event (Hopefully not) of less than 8 wrestlers, a wrestler could perhaps have only two matches the whole day if it maintains a bracket format. Just curious.
-
knightflyer150Orange is also entering a full B team and we will other take extras to fill it out. At this time, we are not considering a pool format based on scoring discrepancies.
-
oldtimer1979Heavyweight will be interseting with Maynard, Winn, and Settles all there.
Good matches ahead. -

6 minutesAny good matchups?.....glad to see Casey Beatty(Bishop Ready/189) this weekend after nearly a month off!
-
snugglyhippoAt heavy, McNabb (WC) is also there, and he is somewhat decent. It will be a nice weight. Isn't it interesting that in wrestling, there can be a mid-level tourney that will feature one or two weights that are as strong or stronger than anything the individuals will face at sectionals?
-
knightflyer150Heavyweight is loaded --> Settles, McNabb, Winn, Maynard and Vulagamore....and I only have half the rosters.
I think 140 and 145 look very strong, too. -
BSFASorry to be annoying with the weather and all. But, was looking for the seedings. You said that you would post them late Thursday nite. Will it be here or on the tournament website?

hizzmutherBringing this one back to the top in hopes that someone will post results for this tournament tomorrow! Really going to be watching for these results! Go get'em guys!

Westie101David Martello(Bishop Ready) will look to avenge an early season upset at the hands of Gage Hysell(Westfall) at 140 if they meet.
At 171 Brown(Westerville) vs. Bidlack(Marion Franklin) should be a fun one.
Heavyweight is loaded.
Timchenko vs Hall!!!!!!!!!!!!1 -

zambrownVery nice tournament, knightflyer! Well organized, limited breaks and the Parade of Champions was a very nice touch for a local tourney. Too bad it didn't start on time...it actually started a little EARLY (unheard of ). Nice concessions and (eat your heart out Cruiser) DIPPIN DOTS!!! Two thumbs up.

cruiser_96Well done, shoot and sprawl... well done!
zam... Wouldn't you know I got a call about that the night before AND a pix message from someone at the tournament!!! Just keep rubbing it in, guys. I'll get mine. Oh yes... I will... -
alaahCongratulations go out to Casey Beatty after coming off of injury and a 5 week set back.
Very exciting match against a very talented Ty Wasserman from Mechanicsburg. Still alot of wrestling ahead and a lot of work to do... Once Casey gets his conditioning back (which I'm sure Coach Vangundy will make sure of) there will be alot of great things ahead for him......
