Nice job CCHS. Pretty good win for Teacher eh? Like I said before....He won't be the underdog again... unless it's in the State finals.
All the boys performed well. Bad break for Wimer I 'hear.' Close loss for Zach to Gio which I bet surprised everyone. Fusner had to surprise some. No surprise from Jaden.
Ray didn't have a good final. Woods cracks the line-up this year and placed today. Leapley with a good finish.
MP won it handily, but a nice finish by the Comets.
AND just like that....It's February! Keep working hard boys. It's almost over for some of you and for a few you're just getting started.
    Well done!

MVP: Greg Brusco 138 lb. Champion. Only gave up 2 pts. All tournament and they were given escapes!

Was he considered an underdog for this match? I wouldn't say so with the season he has had and Crumb being out since mid December. Closer than I would have predicted.

"Like I said before..." Back two weekends ago. Sorry for the confusion, should have been more specific.

He wasn't an underdog to me. Still a nice win and against another quality opponent.

138 will be interesting at darby between him, Demas, and Terry.

Not to mention......... LYbarger, Collins PN (if he's still wrestling), Garrett HD, Ormiston TV, Strickland DJ, Neely UA....and I'm sure im forgetting some. Needless to say it's stacked. Demas and Gregy Brusco are on a different level than the others though. Battles for 3-4

138 Knapp (orange) is also coming on strong. Messer (MVille) is tough. I think Mason is at 138 for Pick North. Tough weight!
  • Warrior123
You also have Olojuwan Pettiford of Zanesville, Ty Yeager of Licking Hts, and Cam Jenkins of Westerville North at 138. It has went from looking like a weak weight at the beginning of the year to maybe the deepest in the district.

Yeah, the three I named were just off the top of my head. 38 & 45 are both very deep.
