Great tournament by host Hilliard Bradley! Hats off to John Riggs and the many volunteers! There was nonstop wrestling from 9:00 AM through 5:30 PM excluding a small break before the semi-finals. Also, great job on wrestler seeding. I heard a few fans make comments about non-seeded wrestlers placing, but I believe it was in frustration because their kid was in that weight class. Of the 14 weight classes (seeds 1-4) there are a total of 56 seeds. 47 of the seeded wrestlers placed. Of the 9 non-seeded wrestlers, 2 placed (2[SUP]nd[/SUP]), 2 placed (3[SUP]rd[/SUP]) and 5 placed (4[SUP]th[/SUP]). Of the seeded wrestlers, there was 1 (1[SUP]st[/SUP]), 4 (3[SUP]rd[/SUP]) and 4 (4[SUP]th[/SUP]) who did not place.
Only comment for next year is to look into protecting wrestlers from hitting seats on north and south sides where the stands fold up. No wrestlers were hurt, but there were few run-ins with the stands.
