Well chatters we've reached another opening day to our most beloved sport! A sport with so much passion, hard work, and dedication. A sport of battle and will power. A sport that we all love and know as Wrestling!
I was like a kid on the night before Xmas last night. I could barely sleep and when I did fall asleep I did not sleep soundly! Even as a coach now I still get the butterflies in my stomach the night before and the adrenaline rush as the first whistle blows! Many people don't understand us. The don't get it because they haven't been in this sport. They haven't poured blood, sweat, and years on to these mats all year long to hear that whistle blow and have your hand raised victoriously in that circle. They call us crazy... Well to be a wrestler you have to be a little crazy. To be a parent of a wrestler you're not all there either. They don't get it and never will until you've done it or your loved ones done it. We are the few and te proud!
