cbb75fireAny recommendations on stat apps?
I am looking into the following:
istat
track wrestling's stat program
takedown by level changer
these all cost money, which we are willing to spend, but we are looking for one to use on multiple tablets, etc. Thanks in advance.

80babyIf you’re a HS Coach then you can use the Trackwrestling program for free. When the state paid the membership fee for each school the program is included. I’ve been using it for a few years now and it’s a wonderful program. You can stat every match at matside with or without wifi access. There’s a learning curve but once you learn all the ins and outs the program will save you so much time and all your stats are just one click away.
If you are using Trackwrestling to print out your pre-match weigh in forms half of your battle is over because you have already entered your schedule into the system. The program will allow you to enter the schools that you’re wrestling against and you can download their roster onto your tablet, phone or laptop. You can go onto youtube and look at the many TWU videos which will walk you through setting everything up. I love the program and it doesn’t take much time to train up your coaches and stats. The people at Trackwrestling have taken everything we need as coaches and put it into one simple to use program. I HIGHLY recommend the program. -
cbb75fireI am hs coach and this is there first year I have used this program and am leaning towards trackwrestling for stats, but it looks like the stats part cost $50? I have entered our schedule and roster, but do not see where we can score mat side, etc.

80babyCoach first look at this video which will give you some overview of how to use the program: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkC4peM7LHg&index=59&list=UUAHHEP7u6dnKp65rPKw3nJg.
Also when you have the time use the computer or tablet that you'll be using this season and log on so you can get them setup for use. watch this video to help you get everything setup. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6mNmHM6VLo&index=3&list=PL_LhWThQ_dObzFQKhdsQ7Ef5qclP9g3nE. -
asheagleI'm an Ohio coach also. After logging into trackwrestling with the school credentials given, a pop-up appears asking $50 to use the stats program. It seems the school pre-paid for the alpha weight portion but does not include the stats. I am able to enter wrestlers and a schedule, but the pop-up appears every time I log on.

80babyHere we go this is to help everyone out that's running into problems gaining access to the Trackwrestling stat program.
Make sure you have an internet connection prior to performing the following steps.
Once you login and the purchase page comes up click on skip.
If you haven’t done so at this point enter your schedule into the system.
Once you have your schedule entered click on your first meet.
I’ll cover duals first then tournaments.
Click on the add dual tab and add all the teams that will be at the meet. After doing this click on one of the duals. At this point you should have a new window with a grey area at the top. Click on offline entry and when the pop-up window appears click on ok. Select version 7.01 you should now be on the offline controller window. Using the drop down menu for each question make your selection. On the last question Display Format select normal if you’re using a loptop or compact if you’re using a phone or tablet. AT THIS POINT CLICK SAVE! Also, make sure that you bookmark this page. If you don’t bookmark the page you won’t be able to access it without wifi or an internet connection.
These next few steps will take some time.
At this point you’ll need to know all the teams that are going to be at your duals or tournament. Click on teams from the menu on the left.
Click on add team and follow the onscreen instructions. After adding a team click on download roster and follow the onscreen instructions. Make sure you download your team roster.
After adding teams click on events then click on download event and follow the instruction on the screen.
If you’re wrestling in a dual or a dual tournament you should see your team vs every team that you added on the add teams page. Click on each team so you can download that dual and save it to your device. At this point you have everything saved that you’ll need to stat each match that your team might wrestle that day. Now we’ll check to make sure everything is set up correctly. The next steps are what you’ll do prior to your team wrestling in the dual. Click on a dual (you can do that now and delete your inputs after playing with the stat program).
Once you open up a dual you’ll click the add match tab at the top of the page. Provided you did everything correctly prior to this point you should see your team vs the other team. Select your starting weight class. From the dropdown menu click on your wrestler then do the same for the other team. Now click on save and continue. You should now be on a screen that shows both wrestlers the system will have your wrestler red and the other wrestler green. Under their names you can click on the dropdown menu and change their color.
Once the match starts click on the start button to start the clock. As the match progressive you’ll just click on the button for the wrestler that performs the action. You should play with this part of the program so you can become familiar with the program. In a real match once the match is over the program will have the winning score, the TF score and time or the time for a fall. This is the most important part. At the end of the match you need to click on results from the menu on the left. Verify the winner and how they won the match and click save. Once you have saved the match click on the matches tab from the menu on the left. You should return to the dual page and the team score will appear on the right side of the screen. Once your dual is over the score will appear at the bottom of the screen. That’s it for dual meets I hope this was easy to follow and understand. The program will update your kids record and all the stats during the match.
Uploading results to the stat program:
When you’re done wrestling for that day and you have an internet connection return back to the match page from your device. Click on the Sync dual tab and follow the onscreen instructions.
If you’re wrestling in a tournament click on that tournament that you’re wrestling in. Follow the instructions on the screen. Select the weight class then your wrestler. Now click on the Fetch from Roster tab. Every team roster that you have downloaded should show up in the menu. Select the team then the wrestler for that weight class. Click save and continue to stat the match. The rest of the steps are the same for stating the match as in a dual meet. With a tournament once you have your pools or brackets you can enter each match prior to the start of the tournament on each device. By doing this any coach or stat can stat the match on their device. All the steps are the same to save the results for each match. The only difference is that you’ll have to Sync the results from each device in order to save the results in the system.
This is a wonderful program and I hope everyone learns how to use it and most of all that it will make your stating easier this season and seasons to come. One final thing if you’re not using the Trackwrestling stat program and your opponent is using it once they upload the results for the match or dual your kids stats will automatically be updated. -
