Inside The Circle website
-
cruiser_96Inside The Circle has a new website. (Hopefully, as November approaches, an upgrade can be made in order to purchase an easy domain name!)
We have a few plans for the upcoming season - we'll see how they unfold. But the first step was upgrading the website.
FYI - a good number of camps are listed on the site. Under the tab "Upcoming Events" click on Summer Opportunities. Each camp has dates and times listed. If you click on a button, it will take you to the flier for that camp. EVERY SINGLE CAMP looks AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully you can attend one of your choosing.
Stay tuned for more upgrades! (And possibly, ways to "donate"!!!!!! )

The site has been updated with a new logo. I'm pretty sure we are going to stick with it for a while. A) I kind of dig it, and B) we need to stick with something for consistency's sake. We will create new shirts with the logo for the show, and are hoping - depending upon our ability to become a 501(c)3 - to use the logo for our Athlete of the Week shirts. (If we do not apply for or are not granted 501(c)3 status, we will have to figure out another way to legitimize sponsors.) I'll see if I can update the AotW certificate as well. -
cruiser_96And the countdown clock has been added!!!
The date is set for when the first wrestler is able to officially punch his ticket for the state tournament. (ps: noon, March 7th, 2015. That's when the 106 semifinals will begin. Actually, roughly 12:13pm - at least that has been the average over the last seven years of the date we have collected.) -
cruiser_96Open mat information has been uploaded and updated. Check out the "Upcoming Events" tab, then the "Summer Stuff" tab.
Any additional info I receive I will be sure to pass along.
ps: I have been around the city for camps, clinics, open mats and various other wrestling functions... PEOPLE ARE TRAINING! ...Are you!?!?!?!?! -
cruiser_96Over the past week I have been updating Groveport Madison's website with the host site webs.com. One of the features for this site is "Stats". This feature allows the owner of the site to view how many people have viewed the site in a selected time period. I used webs.com for three sites: GM Wrestling, The Cruiser Invitational, and the old Inside The Circle website.
I clicked on the "Stats" for the old Inside The Circle website out of sheer curiosity. It appears someone is or a group of people are a) doing research or b) living in the past! We have had just over 200 views in the past 30 days!!!
If you have bookmarked the old site, please update to www.itcrankings.wix.com/insidethecircle - this is where the new stuff will be.
If, by chance, you do choose to click on the above link (the new ITC site), you will notice that you cannot watch the "Weekly Episode". This is because too many people have watched Troy Caldwell (JA) win his state title!!! We will be upgrading the site to allow for more views. As long as we don't it 10,000 views per week, I think we'll be good.
I will point out that the new site has a real-time counter at the bottom right, and in the four "off months" from June to September, we've amassed over 2000 views! Thank you!!! Our sponsors will be pleased.
Enjoy. -
cruiser_96Because I have nothing better to do right now...
I checked the old ITC website stats for the last 12 months. In February, when the site shut down due to too many views, it was because I posted all four sectional brackets on the site! Just shy of 5,000 in one day!!!!!!!!!!! What is it about brackets that draws us in!?!?!?! Like a moth to a flame...
Tractor beam; sucked me right in. -

I still look at brackets from this past season and seasons before that, just because. When I see a program gets a new coach, especially central Ohio area, I look at post season brackets to see how their team did, and I'll look at the new coach's old teams results too. -
cruiser_96We have a few events in the form of tournaments, camps and clinics coming up. Be sure to check the ITC website for oppotunities in your area.
OAC Sectional @ Newark
