Group Strength Training for Wrestlers at Old School Gym

5-10 athletes per group
3 sessions per week
Cost: $100/month + $35/month(gym membership - gives access to gym every day, including wrestling room)
Focus: Strength training, flexibility, balance, speed, conditioning, mental toughness
Trainer: Dustin Myers, owner OSG and head Strength & Conditioning coach Ohio RTC
Current and Past clients include: Reece Humphrey, Tommy Rowlands, Lance Palmer, Angel Escobedo, Keith Gavin, Mike Pucillo
We have had kids in our groups from Watkins, Pick North, Northridge, Sheridan, Fairfield Union, Logan, Canal Winchester, etc...

cruiser_96The wrestling contingent at this gym has a strong presence. I enjoyed getting to know about a dozen kids from all over the area over this past summer.
One thing CoachMyers didn't mention was the handful of college wrestlers (aside from the Ohio-RTC guys) who still get on the mat at the OSG. I thought those guys benefitted the high school wrestlers a great deal.

CoachMyersThat is true! I did forget to mention that there are some of my former HS wrestlers that are now wrestling in college and are usually home over the summer and breaks and come back to the gym. Its always great to have them around to help (drop the hammer on) the young guys.
All in all, OSG has something for everyone that likes to train hard in a no-nonsense environment, but there is definitely a strong wrestling presence - from the people, to the type of functional equipment, etc. So Cruiser - now that the seasons over I expect to see you in there soon...don't wait until summer! -
cruiser_96CoachMyers: I've seen some of the #GutCheck workouts. If I don't take the next six weeks to get myself into SOME level of fitness, I will crash and burn on your floor in a matter of seconds. While I'm sure my wife would get over my passing after the life insurance check clears, I'm going to assume she'd rather have me. So with that in mind, be ready in early May.
I have a plan in place. No worries.
