Claymont District and Central Ohio
-
huntergreen26Well, I see a lot of people talking about the #fridaynightfireworks at Darby this weekend, but we seem to forget about the other Central Ohio boys. The past few years in D2, the Central district has done very poor, but I have a feeling we will be very well represented this weekend. I am going to leave the predicting to everyone else, but I foresee a great weekend for Central District wrestling in division 2! #fridaynightfireworks #saturdaycelebrations #claymontdistrict
Over/under for Central District qualifiers? Anyone want to take a stab at it? -
It is what it isI'll put the over/under at 24.

Dad4SportsI seem to remember that last year it was 23 or 24? Hasn't the East lost a school or two due to realignment?
I'd never pick against Jimmy the G....oh, wait...Coach Hennosy. I just have a hunch he may be very close with his prediction. -
ksig489I would like to say 29 if the tournament was held anywhere but the east...being held in the east district with the usual east treatment it may be more like 20.

Heh...heh...a little of that Claymont home cookin'? It can be a hard recipe to deal with...ksig489;1582329 wrote:I would like to say 29 if the tournament was held anywhere but the east...being held in the east district with the usual east treatment it may be more like 20. -
coachchucki think the number is 25 that make it out
-
huntergreen2621 last year, 17 the year before. Baby steps I suppose, but not very good. I think we will take another step in the right direction this year! I am going 25, with a possibility of breaking the 30 mark!
-
Go4alOngbOmBYou just have to pray that you get a central district official....so that matches are called like you are used to, and you don't get a double stalling in the 1st 20 seconds of a match.......I know you are bored Mr. Official, we all are...but give them at least a minute please!
-
upset_125Hold the phone. Are you seriously saying that you would rather have central Ohio officals instead of someone who actually knows what they are talking about? I dont know about you, but from what I've seen this year the central Ohio officals (except for a select few) are horrible. Personally, I would much rather have someone who has been doing this for years, knows the sports, can and will be in the right position than anyone from the central region. Someone needs to give out kids a fighting chance. No reason to wrestles your opponent and the ref!

That's 31 SQ's! Maybe a little ambitious, but if you don't believe, then you can't achieve! : thumbup:It is what it is;1582720 wrote:Here is my dart thrown in the dark for SQ's:

26 Central
7 champs for each -
Go4alOngbOmBHonestly, I haven't seen central district officiating since I coached last in 2008. But I did know that the east was notorious for quick stalling calls early in matches....then in the 2nd and 3rd periods it was costing a point. Just what the jist was back then. I have seen my fair share of officials that want to control a match, and I dont like any of it. I was just going on what the trend was when I was around.
-
SzerszenOver the years I have noticed officials from both the East and the Central suddenly change their officiating come tournament time. I always see more stalling calls during sectionals and districts, including the infamous double stalling. Last week, I saw east officials penalize kids for forcing their opponent out of bounds....4 times.

Dad4SportsNo Packwood at 285 (Bloom Carroll)? Injured?
-
lowsingle174Monroe (MFHS) won his semi against leasure. He's making his second trip to the schott. Congrats!!
-
Dad4SportsI quickly counted 27 CD qualifiers....correct? I'm guessing Packwood may have had a good chance to make it out...that would have created a 28-28 split.
