I would like to publicly congratulate the Delaware Hayes wrestling program on qualifying 11 to districts this year. It was not long ago (4 years) that they only qualified one wrestler. Coach Heffernan, Coach Kevin Rieman and Coach Lamb have done a great job at the High School. Coach Mark Rieman has done outstanding work with the Middle School and Coach Smothers with the youth program. These men have all worked together to build a program that will be a force for years to come. They have done it with constant hard work, class and focusing on the wrestlers development on and off the mat. The wrestlers have bought in and are working their butts off year round to improve. Just wanted to give them a quick pat on the back.
