    Cruiser,

A shout out to all the people that worked at the tourney (I was one of the parents watching)....you guys did an amazing job at keeping the action going. Quick question....I really felt for the officials as there were only four referees for four mats ..... and it was a long day. Did you have someone back out or was there only 4 originally contracted? Another referee or two would have helped those guys out.

Nevertheless, thanks for posting the results.....the JV kids work hard also and deserve some recognition!!

I know for a fact five were contracted, but it may have been six. When I commented that I thought a ref had just arrived, my brother asked if it was one of two people. That leads me to believe two others were contracted, but backed out. Again though, it may have just been five. But, to your point, I agree that at least one other ref would have helped them.

And to your last point, that is EXACTLY why I post them. Even when we ran a youth tournament, and our freshmen tournaments...they worked just as hard. I think it is poor taste to neglect them. As I was typing these, I seriously considered sending them to the Dispatch just to see what would happen!

Again, 220 wrestlers!!! The most we've ever had was 272. That was chaos!!! 27 weight classes. Yikes!!!

As always, the goal was reached - each kid recieved 3 matches, with some getting 5.

But it was a sauna in there!!!! :D
