The Cruiser Invitational - 1/25/14

  Teams (currently): Groveport, Bishop Ready, Hilliard Bradley, Logan, New Albany, Olentangy Orange, Pickerington North, Teays Valley, Tri Valley, Troy, Westerville Central, Whitehall.
  
  
  This is a bracket-styled tournament, with the goal of emulating the post-season.
  
  
  If any team from the Dayton/Cincinnati or even the east/southeast/NEO/northwest area would like to join, I'm positive I can convince my brother that it could handle one (possibly two) additional team(s).   Currently, my computer resides in the trusty hands of the Geek Squad. When it returns to me, I will move last year's results to the "Results" tabs in order to put pre-seeds up on the home page. Rosters won't be due until Thursday at 3:47pm. So nothing will be made available until that night.

  I think Ready brings a small, but mighty group. I'm really looking forward to see what Logan has. Also, I think Tri-Valley (3V) brings more than Kade Kowalski.
  
  Lastly, with Delaware & Sally George going, and moreover, Watkins moving its tournament ahead a week, a few teams weren't available, ie Licking Valley.
  
  Oh, well. Should still be a great day of wrestling!

  Record gets you into the discussion. .500 or below is unseedable. After that, let's talk SP (place?), SQ (record), DQ (record?), sq??? (Automatic #1 seed for sectional qualifiers!!! ) And then a little head-to-head, followed by some common opponent, and then, finally, school colors. (Most of these are true.)

  Thanks! He's a good kid. 3.6 GPA. Wrestled for LV at 160 last year. Now he's about 195. Probably 200 with his Cowboy boots and big belt buckle! LOL!

  Agreed, I have noticed over the years that the Berg football team has a large amount of wrestling talent, lots of state placers from Ohio + Michigan.

  182: #5 seed J. Kim (New Albany) was a sectional place-winner (6th). Dial (PN) was a DP, and Oller (TV) was a DQ. But Yeo (HB) has already defeated Oller (TV). Pace might be the only oddity, but has placed in both of the tournaments he entered. Based on those finishes, I have no reason to think top 3 isn't out of his reach. (Watch him go two and out!) As the man once said, "Time will tell."
