    Good tournament...Lots of hammers there.

I wanted to give a shout out to the officials.
Over all they did pretty well. I know there will be some people that disagree, I saw some angry "coaches" but over all. I was impressed. This is coming from a guy that normally complains about the refs. I did see a few questionable calls and a few missed calls in the matches I was watching, but as a whole, they did great!

Huskerdoc, how did your guys do ?

    They did well.
Dan at 154 was a match away from placing. Went 3-2, was proud of him. Not where he wanted to be.
Ben Placed 7th at 164. He beat a kid 12-2 in the finals that defeated the hammer from UA that beat him 2x this year. It was a great finish for him. For him to be a 1st year wrestler is amazing in my book. I have had few 1st year wrestlers that can compare to what he did.

I wanted to send kudos to CW's Caleb Brooks (96 lbs) on a really nice 7th grade season, ending with well over 40 wins......almost all of them 1st period pins. I'm looking for some good things from him in the future.

He was undefeated on the season all the way to the state semis, before falling to eventual champ Tanner Smith 6-2. Caleb suffered a pretty bad broken finger in that match, but gutted it out to wrestle 2 more matches and got himself on the podium in the 4th spot. Pretty tough kid.....

they will be going to Coffman.
I have sent 2 decent classes up there the past 2 seasons. I had a few kids that didn't go to OAC this year for various reasons. But, were very good wrestlers. If they all actually went to districts, I think I would have had 5 state qualifiers.
If they stick with it, they should be competitive in a couple of years at the high school level.
