Maverick15We just posted the same thing about the same time lol. Double congrats it is:thumbup: Gotta love those lightweights turnin up!!!
-
cruiser_9623 place winners... Not great, but not bad.
Hopefully we can get some finalists, and a champion - or EIGHT!!!!!!! -
Maverick15Also if Wimer would have been able to participate there would have most likely been 4 placers at 120 from central ohio. Just reiterating how stacked that weight was at Darby.

Congrats to Laney....From 4th in sectionals to state semifinals. WOW!!!cruiser_96;1398585 wrote:23 place winners... Not great, but not bad.

cruiser_96Thanks. He's REALLY wrestling well. I thought he wrestled out of his skin at the district tournament. Maybe. But not by much. His first round match at the Schott was even with, if not better than, his semi and final at Darby.
As always, a thing or two here and there to tweak, but that's the nature of a coach's eye.
All in all though, I am pleased, impressed, and very proud of his accomplishments this year. -
Underrated
As you should be Coach! He looks incredible right now.cruiser_96;1398619 wrote:Thanks. He's REALLY wrestling well. I thought he wrestled out of his skin at the district tournament. Maybe. Also how about those Central Ohio lightweights. 12 out of 16 will place in the 4 lightest weight classes. -
coach1Congrats coach it must feel good

iGranbyAccording to the bottom half of all the D1 championship brackets, Davidson had a VERY good night.
-
cruiser_96iGranby! Yes!!!!!! They are going to break the points record. They are even scoring in the D-II and D-III ranks!!!!!!! Too funny.
-
Power half
I knew they were very good at recruiting, but to get 12 kids between the semis and the finals. Crazy LOLiGranby;1398726 wrote:According to the bottom half of all the D1 championship brackets, Davidson had a VERY good night. -

Would love to see/hear about his match with Assad. 5-4? Wowcruiser_96;1398619 wrote:Thanks. He's REALLY wrestling well. I thought he wrestled out of his skin at the district tournament. Maybe. HilliardDadAnd Laney beats DeCesare (8-3) again in the conso semis, wrestling for 3rd place! From 4th in sectionals to at worst 4th in state. Again, I say, WOW!
-
cruiser_96HilliardDad: I have uploaded about a dozen matches onto www.gohiocasts.com - search for the coverage "OHSAA State Tournament. It's on there somewhere.

Lou DemasIn my opinion Laney outwrestled Assad ,however Assad's strategy beat Laney, I wish the referee had made a caution call earlier and and forced Assad to open up,it would've been a different match..great match when Assad's had Laney's leg up in a single and Laney came down in Wizzer, thing of beauty!Ps I'm not saying it was bad reffing, I like when Refs stay out of match just that Assad did a great job of playing that fine line stalling or wrestling just enough to only shut down Laney's offense and earn him the win, great wrestling from both of them
-
HilliardDadFound the match on youtube. I am glad to read Mr. Demas' summary, as he has much more knowledge and experience than I. My opinion before reading his was... less kind... to the referees.
-

Yea....they gave out stall calls all weekend long like candy. Assad should have had his first caution with about 30 seconds remaining, not at the very end. Great video Cruiser......though I was watching Blair Witch Project! :thumbup:HilliardDad;1398908 wrote:Found the match on youtube. cruiser_96Wen the blood time hits, things get crazy!!! A bit of our coaching strategies get overheard but that's okay. I try to stay positive.

MPhillipsNo one noticed but you. Now were all gonna go listen! Oops! Delete! Delete!
-
cruiser_96No worries. I just tried to keep him loose by making jokes about former Fisher Catholic wrestlers. Nothing big!

Nothing original then? I'm sure he's heard them all by now.cruiser_96;1399253 wrote:No worries. I just tried to keep him loose by making jokes about former Fisher Catholic wrestlers. Nothing big!
In all seriousness, or at least as serious I can be. Your boy wrestled lights out! It was awesome to see. Great job to you all!
