where can I find Individual results from the CC/TW and Orange/Olentangy duals ???

    cruiser_96;1384949 wrote:That's impossible. 54-54??? That's 108 points!? I'll blame maddog140.
Hey I resent that! lol I'm just surprised you were able to do the math! On another note I want to give a shout out to the WN boy who wrestled in the exibition match before the dual! You are a classy young man and you will remember that match and what you did for the Scioto boy more then you will remember most of your other matches! You made me and the wrestling community proud!!!!

Indeed. A very touching moment. Young Mr. Martin and the gang at Westerville North did the central Ohio community proud last night. There were only a handful of dry eyes in the house.

First good look I've had at Lancia this year...Very impressed. Simpson is no slouch and Lancia dominated.

Going off of memory here with the results but if CC would have been full strength they would have won the dual. They gave up 4 forefits.

Im sorry I don't have all the names for CC

195 - CC injury Default win
    220 - TW Forefit
    285 - Gilmore wins Dec.
    106 - Lasko? Dec. Norris
    113 - M. Johnson Dec. little Wimer
120 - J. Wimer M. Dec. Ackley 11 -3 (Ackley hit a reversal and had back but never got the call - was an intense match)
    126 - CC dec. Coleman
132 - Messerall Dec. CC (Another exciting match here, where did this CC kid come from?)
    138 - Hooff WBF CC
    145 - CC Dec Hoyt
    152 - Jarrell WBF CC
    160 - TW Forefit
    170 - TW Forefit
    182 - TW Forefit

Scioto has a senior wrestler with Down syndrome. He's only "won" a couple of times in his career at Scioto. In the past couple weeks, he "beat" a kid from Kilbourne and another from Darby (those kids deserve shout-outs too).

Last night was senior night at Scioto. His last match ever. They held a special exhibition match in between the JV and varsity matches after the Senior Night intros. He "won" by a second pin and the place erupted. One of the coolest things I've witnessed in high school sports.

Very cool. The wrestler at Darby was Kyle Colvin, and he allowed the Scioto Boy to win after full 3 rds. It was a pretty cool thing to witness. Sounds like yours was even more awesome, in front of the home crowd.

This same exact thing happened last week when Delaware wrestled at New Albany. Great showing of class by these teams and young men.

Great job to those young men.

HilliardDad - - Very nice move of the Colvin kid from Darby. It is my understanding that his coach didn't even know he was going to do it and that he came up with it on his own. Well grounded kid with a great heart.

On an unrelated topic, are you able to add some flavor to the comments above about the Darby/Bradley match last night? What was the drama with the coaches and the HVYs?

The Colvin kid was only instructed to let the match go into the 2nd period and he did the rest on his own. Very proud of the young man's decision and for the Scioto boy. He was beaming and gave me a big high five heading out the gym doorway. Very touching!
Good to hear about last night too!!!!

As far as Darby Bradley, Darby's hvy weighed in at 218.5 and needed to be the minimum 219 because of the extra lbs scratch +4. It was a HUGE swing and I thought it was over. Darby wrestled hard from then out and ended up needing to win the last 3 matches to win. It was crazy! The place was rocking!
Great setting for a dual in the "old school" middle school gym.
It was so load at times you could not hear the buzzer and since there were no boppers the refs didnt know when the period ended a couple times.

No doubt about that. I was reall impressed with them this yr.
We had a great match early in the yr with WN. Wish it would have been later in the yr.
I hope they adjust the schedule to wrestle Darby-WN late in the yr next yr. Darby gets both WN and Bradley at home.
    Should be fun!

Would have been nice to at least see the results in the paper for the Darby Bradley match since it was for the OCC Championship.
    SAD!

Heard the Ryan-Forrider match went into triple OT. Anyone have a final score and how the match went?

Heard it went scoreless 1st, noah gets rev in 2nd and Jake escapes, jake escapes in 3rd, 4th nothing 5th escape 6th escape 7th forrider escapes on the ride out.

Both these kids could bring home championships this yr! Remember Jake bumped to wrestle collica and lost in OT.
    Good luck Jake and Noah!

Wow! A bottle of Gatorade (or even half a bottle) before weigh-ins and he's 219 to 220. That could have huge. (HVYs on the margin need to understand that "making weight" is a lot easier for them;))

I guess he was 221 at Darby before weigh ins and then went to the can before weigh ins.

What is the OCC policy for reporting results to the media/newspaper? Winning coach is responsible? Home team coach?
