Vengeance Wrestling Club will start up March 19. Run out of the Hayes HS and Big Walnut HS wrestling rooms, VWC is a spring freestyle and Greco Roman training club for high school and middle school aged wrestlers (and, at $100, it's one of the cheapest training clubs of its sort around). Practices will be on Tuesdays at Hayes HS and Thursdays at Big Walnut HS from 6-8pm. One night a week will be mostly technique with great clinicians; one night will be mostly live wrestling. Also, coaches will take team members to a number of competitions including the
Delaware Spring Freestyle Duals (April 13),
The Tournament of Champions (April 20),
the AAU Junior Olympic Central Qualifier (May 4), and the
Ohio Duals (May 11). Over the last few years, VWC has been comprised of a nice mix of tough wrestlers from Delaware, Sunbury, Lewis Center, Powell, Westerville, Cardington, Dublin, New Albany, Columbus, and Newark.
