MatdivaBowen is at 113 not 120, watched him at West Holmes last weekend
-
nykcKakos is 120.
Rahmani is not getting out of Districts this year at 120. Way too loaded. -

I could end up eating some crow here, but I . strongly disagree, Rahmani is tough.nykc;1377445 wrote:Kakos is 120.

monarchpridenykc with some serious Marysville hate, thanks for the motivation

Agreed. I think Kakos is in the most trouble here, on that same note though, he is very capable of making it out.oldskoolnike;1377467 wrote:I could end up eating some crow here, but I . strongly disagree, Rahmani is tough. -
Elliot Lewiswho will pull the rip cord and jump to 26?
-
GregHinesMy guess:
Out at 120: Timchenko, Wimer, Penzone, Rahmani
Kakos goes up to 126 and makes out there -
nykcIll be happy to revisit this comment come sectionals - but with 120 being so heavy loaded at Watkins - this opens up doors for a weaker district at 120.
I still have Timchenko, Wimer, Penzone in the Top 3. Leaving a battle for the 4 spot. I have Valenti over Rahmani. Stud or no stud, Rahmani just came back from injury and they have been taking precautions wrestling some easier matches. Wimer would have tore into him at the duals... I think Kakos will beat Rahmani at Sectionals.
Edit - Unless of course like GregHines suggested Kakos pulls the chord and goes 26
And open the floodgates for the Marysville crowd.... GO!!!!!! -
bump_and_runi don't know the kid other than watching him wrestle and from what other kids say about him, but i'm really pulling for kakos to make it to states this year. i hope he gets in.
-
USMCdevil2005I think he gets out at 20 or 26. The kid is on a mission

MPhillips
Known the boy since he was 7-8, coached him for years. Great kid. Super family. I wish the best for him.bump_and_run;1377540 wrote:i don't know the kid other than watching him wrestle and from what other kids say about him, but i'm really pulling for kakos to make it to states this year. i hope he gets in.
I also think Taleb has a great shot. Watched him since he was 6-7. He's not a newcomer to big matches. Been around the block, freshman or not. Best to him as well -

I hate how the CD gets little love
I wish we would stomp all those Cleveland and cincy kids at the schott and put central Ohio back were it belongs. -
It is what it isKakos has been so close the last 2 years I would like to see him get out! Don't know if going to 126 is the answer however.

Bitterrunner-up
When you say "back where it belongs"...was there a time when Central Ohio was a powerhouse region in wrestling? I know Bishop Ready and DeSales had nice runs, but DI has never had a great program and the region as a whole has stuggled for statewide success as long as I've been following the sport.USMCdevil2005;1377838 wrote:...I hate how the CD gets little love

Good luck. SW Ohio continues to get stronger IMO. You are starting to get 2nd generation wrestlers out there and also have very good dedicated coaches. -
Half Full Nelson
Just for conversation: what 4 kids would beat Kakos at 126? Rooney....Sparks...??? I don't think he'd be giving up much, size wise, at 126. Especially not if he "bulked up" over the next 2 weeks. It is what it is;1377839 wrote:Kakos has been so close the last 2 years I would like to see him get out! It is what it is
He can possibly make it at either weight, but I like his size/leverage advantage at 120 better than at 126 (actually think he can beat Valenti and possibly Penzone). King (TV), Ferguson (PN) are pretty tough and Bankes (WM), although I haven't really seen him, are projected placers at Darby. Who knows for sure...that's why they wrestle!!Half Full Nelson;1378204 wrote:Just for conversation: what 4 kids would beat Kakos at 126? Rooney....Sparks...??? bump_and_run
King, ferguson and banks are solid but i think kakos is at that next level and has been for years. i think King is the only one of those three who could challenge kakos, and Kakos already beat King this year (although I don't know how close it was)It is what it is;1378471 wrote:He can possibly make it at either weight, but I like his size/leverage advantage at 120 better than at 126 (actually think he can beat Valenti and possibly Penzone). That said, I think he gets out at 20, too. I just think the path is a little easier at 26. one reason is no artem, who in turn is at that next level above kakos... -
Blast82.5Is everyone certain that Wimer stays at 120? I thought the "conventional wisdom" was that he would move to 113.
-

That was the plan but I have spoke with them he will be at 120 and his little brother will be at 113.Blast82.5;1378692 wrote:Is everyone certain that Wimer stays at 120? I thought the "conventional wisdom" was that he would move to 113. -
capthookRahmani is a gamer he should never be counted out. Good luck Rahmani hope to see your return to states.
-
Blast82.5Thanks bribacker.
capthook - Couldn't agree more. Anyone counting Rahmani out may be surprised! -
It is what it is
Yeah, with his success at 120 why drop another 7 lbs.! He's healthier and stronger at 120.bribacker51;1378699 wrote:That was the plan but I have spoke with them he will be at 120 and his little brother will be at 113.
