I agree. I think they will compete with all teams.iGranby;1377141 wrote:I see no reason why the Monarchs cant be competitive in at least two, if not all 3 of their duals? They're the best program in Central Ohio for a reason. -
double arm barsWill we get play by play on Saturday.
-
USMCdevil2005I may just venture uip there...
-
double arm barsAlright dv what wts do you think they can win against Steds

Being the best program in Central Ohio simply doesn't mean that much to anyone who's not in Central Ohio. I think Marrysville is a very good program and their staff does an excellent job, but there's only one team of that group that they'll be competitive with and that's Steubenville. Both St. Edward and Blair will dominate the dual and could probably win with their "B" teams.iGranby;1377141 wrote:I see no reason why the Monarchs cant be competitive in at least two, if not all 3 of their duals? USMCdevil2005120 if Rahmani is there and Healthy, 126 with Sparks, 138 Forrider beats Heffernan, 160 Boyd beats Rogers, 220 Miller beats Knapp.
Key matches.... Pfarr and Dzuro-- I think Pfarr can win if he wrestles like he has been and not like he was in the beginning of the season.
Walker vs. Nichols --- Nichols is tough, but Walker has been wrestling his butt off and if the Monarchs can pick up some wins and keep it close in this one then I think Walker can feed off of that and possibly win or atleast not give up bonus points. Same thing goes for Pfarr.
Roberts vs. Barr --- Roberts has been wrestling well as of late so I think it is safe to say that he could possibly beat a easier opponent from this St. Ed's squad in Barr. Barr will be well prepared but he is not the typical "seasoned" Ed's boys. This is a key match for both!
Those aree the ones I think Marysville "can" win. The ones up top are the ones I am 95% sure they will @ 120,126,138,160, and 220. Now that is 5 matches I think they will win and if they can get a win out of Roberts, Pfarr ,or Walker then they may be in good Shape.
That's my 2 cents, I am not sure if they will win but to me that is being "competitive" and that was your whole argument. -
USMCdevil2005I don't think they win with their "b" teams against the Monarchs, maybe against Stuebenville. I think Marysville is a little more competitive than ppl are giving them credit for.
-
double arm barsThat seems competitive on paper but you got to wrestle in their gym and you never win the close ones there. Steubenville nearly beat top gun champions claymont so their not a pushover. I'm guessing 3 wins vs Blair / steds that's if all their guys are at optimal weight which is doubtful.
-
USMCdevil2005I know Stuebenville is not a pushover. I wasn't trying to imply that. Marysville and Stuebenville will be a great dual! I think Marysville wins there though. The Moray and Miller match at 220 will be sweet!

Thats an insult to say eds beats Mville with their B team.Bitterrunner-up;1377176 wrote:Being the best program in Central Ohio simply doesn't mean that much to anyone who's not in Central Ohio. Honestly, he is probably right.Cthelites;1377221 wrote:Thats an insult to say eds beats Mville with their B team. -
CthelitesI know Eds B team is really good and better than most all programs A teams, but Marysville is really good when full and healthy.
-
USMCdevil2005I was thinking the same thing cthelights.

bump_and_run
insulting, yes, but hate to say it that the match probably would be close. the reason is the five marysville boys that devil says win vs the A squad still win of course, but what about the other nine? I don't see more than two of them picking up a win vs. St Ed's first backup -- that team is simply too deep. Might come down to bonus points.oldskoolnike;1377227 wrote:Honestly, he is probably right. -
