Cool -- a bit of a preview with Reynoldsburg, Bradley, Canal and Watkins at the same sectional. I think someone already mentioned this? but 160 should be a good weight here with lancia, wogan and harness.theviking;1376006 wrote:Marysville and steubnvill are out

he seems to bounce around? hopefully he goes 60 here for the competition.1prouddad;1376032 wrote:I believe Lancia cut to 152 - Lennyrox - can you confirm? -
1prouddadThat would be great - add to the competition in 160!

iGranbyI would think the wise move by coaches would be to have him at 52, for sectional seeding.

bump_and_run
normally i would agree with this especially with three other teams coming to the same sectional at this tourney but lancia will be 1 or 2 seed without question. coaches voting might give the nod to pick central's yarger for the sectional 1 seed, but if they do or don't what happens here probably won't make much difference.iGranby;1376063 wrote:I would think the wise move by coaches would be to have him at 52, for sectional seeding. -
bump_and_runJust looking at other weights, 220 should have lacey, teay's kinzer, and watkin's george. will reynoldsburg's reed be here or has he dropped to 95?
145 should see gershom and canal's hammond in finals. Good test for hammond going into sectionals. CC's Farris will be in play here, as well. Also, any one know what's up with bradley's Driscoll? he wasn't in the lineup for Cruiser's invite. -

1 or 2 seed wont make any difference at sectional with this type of caliber wrestler. -

driscoll should be back. Had to sit cause of a flagrant foul at gahanna duals against llanza.bump_and_run;1376078 wrote:Just looking at other weights, 220 should have lacey, teay's kinzer, and watkin's george. will reynoldsburg's reed be here or has he dropped to 95?

that's good lol "good" that he's coming back that is -- not good he got the foul. anyway, should make for some real good comp at 45.Cthelites;1376086 wrote:driscoll should be back. Had to sit cause of a flagrant foul at gahanna duals against llanza. -

Hammonds needs these matches to get ready for the post-season. He has been flying a bit "under the radar" and is a little under-sized at 145. He has the talent to make some noise.....should be ready after last year's post-season disappointment.bump_and_run;1376092 wrote:that's good lol "good" that he's coming back that is -- not good he got the foul. anyway, should make for some real good comp at 45. -

are canal's hammond and bradley's luke hammond related? just curious.Dad4Sports;1376101 wrote:Hammonds needs these matches to get ready for the post-season. bump_and_runJust thinking about some potential match-ups here. If this works like previous years, it's two pools going into a finals match vs. wrestler with like record from other pool.
106: Nace, Campell and Lasko. Nace wins, but who do you think he sees in finals? Campell or Lasko, assuming they are seeded 2-3 and in the same pool?
113: Dooley and the younger Wimer brother... Anyone else?
120: Hopefully the finals here are a showdown of watkin's Lieb and the older Wimer boy, assuming Wimer's not at 26. Have these two wrestled this year?
126: I think this is another two-man race battle between Watkin's Bankes and Bradley's Rob McGrath. Both should walk though their pools, unless Wimer's at 126.
132: Other than the other McGrath from Bradley and canal's Barnes, i'm not that familiar with this group. Teays Dunn should be here or at 38. Also what is the deal with Watkin's Scott? If he's here, I think he makes it to finals over Barnes.
138: Big Walnut's Martin has been ranked by the D2 coaches. Dunn might be here. Bradley's freshman 38 has some good wins this year, or there is some speculation that Driscoll is at this weight now. WM's Holter always seems in the mix. Licking Valley's Johnson is at 38. this should be a nice balanced weight.
145: I think this will be the best finals match of the day between Gershom and Canal's Hammond, although Bradley's Driscoll could spoil Hammond's party for sure assuming Hammond and Driscol are 2-3. Have Driscol and Hammond wrestled at this weight yet? I'm sure they met up last year.
152: if WM's Lancia is here as reported earlier, then he will win easily. If he is challenged at all, it will be by Canal's Zach Snyder.
160: This will be a great weight if Lancia is here adding to a group that should include Valley's Wogan and Big Walnut's Harness as mentioned earlier in this thread. I would like to see a Lancia/Wogan finals.
170: another good balanced weight -- bradley's stratton, rey's johnson, valley's Nethers and walnuts Esniecher
182: valley's Nate Mcown vs. bradley's Riggs.
195: i think i asked this before, but did Reynoldsburg's Reed drop to 95 or is he still at 220? Would like to see Vally's senior Smith step up and challenge him.
220: The only question here is probably who will win the opportunity to face Canal's Lacey in the finals, but that battle should be a good one...Licking Valley's Redman, Watkin's George or Kinzer. Seeding will play a big role here. I'm guessin git will be Redman 2, Kinzer 3 and George 4, meaning George will face Lacey in the pool.
285: I like Valley's heavy here, but not really familiar with the other guys at this weight.
the team battle should be a close one between Bradley and Licking Valley, although watkins could make some noise if their lightweights rack up a lot of pins. I think Bradley and Valley are just too balance, though. I'll take Valley in the team race. -
