Why? Why do you even have to try and take that win away from that kid. Just leave it at.... " I think Jay could have won", or "maybe Jay wasn't on his top game in this match" I just don't see why you have to try and make excuses for the other wrestler, or pretty much in my opinion try to take a good win away from a kid by making a stupid comment. Who cares if he wasn't wrestling I suppose "as" good as he usually does??? A win is a win and if you're a great wrestler, or even a good wrestler, then you're not going to slack off one match. Especially in a placement match.

You Da man! lol. All about statistics aren't you!

    Top 10 reasons CockyCatholicWrestler's guy didn't win...

    10. Gassed.
    9. Taking a fall to manipulate the results, secure a different seeding and target a specific match-up in the first round of next week's regular season tournament. Strategy.
    8. Just made the cut and wrestling weak.
    7. It was only his ninth match back after injury and he's understandably not up to speed.
    6. Ref wouldn't call the other guy for stalling.
    5. Not straight up. Ref called a touch pin.
    4. Not straight up. Other guy just "caught" him.
    3. Ref called CCW's guy for stalling when he was working a move! Come on!
    2. Coach made him choose top. He never goes top.
    1. Just wasn't feelin' it. Nine times out of 10, CCW's guy wins and you all know it!

A win might be a win but that just takes character out of the sport

I noticed Furnace does not get much press, so I took a look - lost to Assad (9-1), 3 losses (all reasonably close by the score) to the same ranked Wadsworth wrestler and a win over a ranked wrestler (Jake's - I was too lazy to look elsewhere). I know that last spring and fall, we saw him at a lot of off season tournaments. My money is he takes 3rd here, but makes it out of districts -- to some extent the seeding may help/hurt. Like last year, 106 is very competitive.

Yep - darn spell checker. Sorry Jon and family. I hope I spelled his first name right. I am too lazy to go look though. My spell checker is not making a fuss, so I am going with it.

I notice that Logan is coming to this sectional. They're not as familiar to me as some of the Central District teams. Who do they have that is good enough to make it to Darby?

138 they have vanbibber, 2X DQ and has a win over Amanda Clearcreeks Jared Diley who i think went 1-2 at the state tournament last year

138 is extremely balanced here. I guess I wouldn't call it "loaded" with the strength of this weight at Marysville, but all of these guys are talented and I could see any of them advancing... McCafferty, Wright, Booth/Donatelli (pretty sure it's booth...), Dunn, Navejar, Lamano, Mr. VanBibber...

If I had to pick four, I'd take McCafferty, Booth, Dunn and VanBibber in no particular order but again very balanced weight. Should see some closes matches here.

    Booth is out
I think Donatelli will go 132, but not sure.
  • bump_and_run
Too bad about Booth. Assuming Donatelli is 32, I bet he and Hinkle are in the finals here. Have they met up this year? (or am i overlooking someone obvious??)
  • oldtimer1979
I think Dunn from Teays is dropping to 132 as well.
  • bump_and_run
That would be a great move for him as 132 provides a much more likely, although not easy, path to states for him, IMO.
  • snugglyhippo
    Who is Hinkle?
