THE ZELLER KID IS PRETTY TOUGH. IS HE THE FRESHMAN? OR AM I THINKING OF SOMEONE ELSE.ptown3;1380536 wrote:I think tyler zeller from mt vernon was the 126 champ -
czarbronx45 minute rule is stupid....if Olympians can wrestle 15 minutes between matches I think 14-18 year olds can handle it. Anyone thinking otherwise is looking for a crutch/excuse. It pains me that this is even a guideline in the first place as it prolongs tournaments for no good reason. If you need 45 minutes between matches you need more cardio!

Right, cuz anything a 28 year who trains for 4 years can do a 14 year old should be able to do too, right?!? I think the point is, that in the Olympics, the rounds and brackets are far more uniform and everything is more tightly run. You don't have one weight class with 16 people and another with 8.
In tournaments at this level, you are bound to have some kids get a 90 minute break or longer between matches. If you think it is A-OK for someone to have rested for 90 minutes to get a match against someone 15 minutes removed from a 3 round grinder, just because some adults don't know how to run a turnament, then I would suggest that it is not "the rule" that is the "stupid" one.....
