so can anyone else point out any key matchups of top-three guys that we'll see in the first round of the state duals next week?

I'm sure their are more, but one that jumps out at me is #2 Yarger and #3 Lancia at 152. I think Lancia WBF.

Mount Vernon and Delaware Hayes dual this Thursday. Should be a good one!!

I think Lacey at 220 should be ranked 3. But that's just me.

Agree! Lacey is very very good! (Has he lost yet?)

Lacey lost to Mowery (DJ), 3-2 at the KCM @ Dublin Scioto.

Lacey could beat Mowery. He could also beat Struttman. And Struttman could also beat both of them. It really is that close.

not splitting hairs as this was at 132 anyway but Rooney did beat Messerall and Sparks lost to him i think.

I think 220 is solid where its at, after seeing the Westerville North kid vs Crum, it was a very tight match. Says a lot about a kid when its that close with someone whom I thought was going to be on the podium last season.

Virtually everyone in the #1 spot should see the podium this year. Theres a few weights where I wouldn't be surprised to see upwards of 3 guys from our district on the podium, but, we all know how things go for us at the Schott sometimes.

That is what we are trying to change in central ohio. More clubs and opportunities for all of these young student athletes. I think this year you will see alot of the payoffs from the past few years of all the changes in the central district.

WBF? I haven't seen Lancia wrestle but thats a pretty bold statement. I've seen Yarger wrestle and is a pretty tough kid. Is Lancia a big pinner?

Be sure to check out the Dispatch Coaches Poll in the Columbus Dispatch!!! Pay particular attention to D-I, 182! :D:p:D

At the Licking Co. championship, wrestling up at 160 lancia pinned D2 poll #2 at 160 will navin and, no disrespect to the northridge wrestler, but he manhandled the D3 poll #1 at 160 mickey in the finals to win by pin. if you look in the CD at marion-elgin thread, you'll see lancia's only lost was 4-3 to Ashland's Wyatt Music, who borofan has at #6 in the state in D1. looking at the marion results thread on yappi, it looks like lancia also pinned boro's #18 in the state in d3 jake datz.

i'm not predicting the wbf to be cocky or anything. i'm nothing more than a fan. it's honestly what i see as the most likely result of this match.

The Mount Vernon/ Delaware Hayes dual will be a good one. These two teams are both very good and will stay good as both have outstanding Jr high wrestlers on the way next year.
