It is always nice to hear about a college adding a wrestling program instead of dropping one. This new program is headed up by a long time sucessful coach at Wheeling Park, Sean Doyle, a great guy. I have copied and pasted an email he recently sent out to area coaches.

My name is Sean Doyle and I was recently hired to start the program. We will be a Division II program, with athletic aid, ready to compete in the 2013-2014 season. The next 6 months will be focused on putting together a roster that will consist of mostly freshman. It provides a great opportunity for college ready athletes to make an immediate impact. Wheeling Jesuit has an excellent academic reputation and I believe it won't be long before we're a very competitive Division II program. The school is making a large committment and giving us the resources to find top notch individuals that are ready to compete at the next level.

Please feel free to email or call with any questions you might have. If you have a list of seniors that are seeking collegiate wrestling, I would be glad to contact them and arrange a campus visit. Those interested can fill out a recruitting form on our website and I can then set up a visit.
