  Not a bad little tourney. A little unorganized at the start, I did not like the fact there was no bout board and it was a mystery trying to figure out where your kids were wrestling.
  
  It was a little frustrating that the 106, 120 and 195 didn't get the same finals treatment the rest of the weights did. Even though the final pool matches for those weight classes were the deciding factors for first and second.
  
  It ran fairly fast - a little confusion before awards ceremony but it is always nice to be done with a tourney before 6pm. I wouldn't say there were any major upsets from what I seen. A few of the refs were a little hesistant to call stalling in the finals matches - but overall there was some good wrestling. I thank the tournament directors and workers for keeping it moving and doing the best to overcome any obstacles.
  
  I would like to see the brackets as well if you could post them. I know how my boy and team did but it is hard to keep track of 3 concurrent matches...

  RE the tournament, I was impressed with Thomas Worthington's strength across the board. They looked much improved from last year. Real tough. Props to them and Coach Gundling.
  
  Some highlights and/or thoughts, as I recall them:
  
  --> Obviously, as a staff, we are always looking for ways to make the event better. I think, overall, it was a stronger tournament this year, deeper across the board. We'd like to improve on the warm-up management, as the brackets and pools were unbalanced and things weren't aligned, making the lines between rounds a little blurry. We either go all pools or all brackets next year and bring back our Medina board projection. Additionally, We are going to take a look at the ticket price...it costs a lot to run a tourney, but it also should be reasonable for a family to watch. Finding that middle is tricky, but I want to bring the ticket cost down a bit.
  
  RE the weights:
  
  106- Round robin and there are 3-4 DQ level guys here...Thomas, Pick North (the back-up to Guitt) and West, for sure, with Orange B sniffing. Thomas kid smallish but real slick.
  
  113- Hines rolled, but again, a young Thomas kid will be a force.
  
  120- Ackley much improved with a fall over Gasca (W). Both DQs, Ackley reversing last year.
  
  126- Two State Placers in the finals, Timchenko controls the excellent Minnard, only a sophomore. Pick North DQ sticks Orange back-up Alec Farmer (District Alt at 106) for 3rd, but Farmer grabbed two wins over DQ Coleman from Thomas.
  
  132 - Messeral looked great, Ferguson tough. Dark horse is under the radar Nick Headley (Ready).
  
  138- Alexander is so filthy with his stuff he needs a gallon of bleach to get clean. Nearly unanimous for the OW. He sticks district champ Dalton Scott (Ready) in 27 seconds to win it. Scott beat up Parkham in the semis, who dropped down and nudged Fath (O) for 3rd, 4-3. Fath split with the excellent Hoof (TW), losing in the quarters but nabbing him on the bracket backside. A very very good weight.

  Thanks Knightflyer150 - I agree with the pool style with 12 schools.
  
  Alexander is a beast - I can't praise that kid enough and would be shocked if he doesn't make some noise this year at states.
  
  Despite the minor issues from above, this is a good little tournament - keep up the good work.

  145- I really like what Pollit's selling. He is quick and physical. A lot of people are saying he is too big to make 145; he looks fine to me. REady's Stover was a game opponent (and a district placer, no less) but just couldn't stay with the OHS boy.
  
  152- Krasovec from Westerville Central got the Warhawks on the board. He has put in a lot of time over the last few years and its paying dividends. Martello from Ready was the other finalist...despite being a very solid wrestler, his brother (David) wrestled for me at Ready and tried...for four consecutive years after the home tournament clean-up...to drink an entire gallon of milk in one sitting.
