That rings true. I wasn't shocked by the end result, but I was a little surprised by the spread. I bet if they met again the bout would be closer.double unders 90;1355547 wrote:Nothing to do with demas....akutsu was sick both days of tourney. No excuse but had nothing to do with lack of training. -

I'd like to see results from the 170 pools. 182 as well if its not too much trouble.Westie101;1352587 wrote:1prouddad, I can prlly help you with any result you need.
Thanks Westie! -
Westie1011prouddad, 170 pounds went like this. Owen Shoemaker of London won pool A, Jake Hale of Liberty b team won pool B, Andre Lucy of Mifflin won pool C, and Bryce Hortz of Whitehall won pool d. If there was a specefic wrestler you were looking for, let me know as i didnt see any interesting match ups in the pools. Shoemaker crushed everyone to the finals and Lucy Stuck Hortz in the other semi. In a back and forth match, Shoemaker won with a Body lock in the finals.
At 182, there were only two pools. In pool A, Monroe of Marion Franklin Beat Quinonez of west, while pool B was won by Roger Pack of London. Quinonez would go on to beat Pack to setup a rematch between him and Monroe in the finals, which was won by Monroe. -

Really this is what I was mostly alluding to. I'm not saying Akutsu is having a lack of training. But we both know Lou had/has alot to do with where Yoshi is now and this his senior year it would be a great tool for him if he could get Demas back in the room to help get him over the hump. Yes he wrestle a close match with Travis but thats about it, he needs to figure out a way to score on that kid if he plans on winning a championship (which should be every kids goal) and Demas is the best heavy coach I know of and he lives in your school district. Oh and that Feeney guy isn't to shabby either........one of the few Columbus guys to AA in D1.........but he's overratedDust_E_Roads;1355553 wrote:Agreed. Akutsu will be fine. No one was saying he needed help to get "back on track" when he wrestled Gusan to a tough 3-1 decision loss at Pick North.
That being said, it would great for all the kids at Scioto if the current staff would welcome guys like Demas and Feeney into the wrestling room. Scioto is blessed with a great feeder system with the Little Irish program and very solid coaching at Davis middle school. Its a real shame the current HS program doesn't embrace the community resources at its disposal. Hopefully that changes soon.
