    Hi,
Its a wonderful site buddy and nice post as well. I really love the info mentioned there and want to get benefited of the whole stuff. Thanks for all... have a nice day:)

Cthelites, I hope Darby kicks some butt this season. With the realignment, I won't be in places to catch your guys very often... I'll just have to wait until the Districts.

Best of luck to the Valenti brothers and the Donatelli brothers!

    Thanks Boooboo!
We are pretty solid as long as we can stay healthy which has already been a challenge.
Is Kenji cleared to wrestle this yr?
    Good luck with the Bears.
I saw that you guys are going to Medina this yr.
    C U there?

    Cthelites, you've outed me!

    Unfortunately no to both questions.

Kenji is not allowed to wrestle; still has lingering memory and processing problems from his concussion of a year ago. Understandably we have nothing to do with his old team.

Kenji co-coaches a youth team (ages 6-14) in south Columbus. It's great to see him teach kids wrestling moves and more importantly instill a sense of sportsmanship and mental toughness in kids who would not otherwise have a chance to wrestle. The city kids do not have the same level of support or opportunity for wrestling as the kids in the suburbs; Kenji's working to change that dynamic. We're on the Sunday open tournament circuit so we'll be at PN this Sunday with a few of the kids.

Best of luck as you head to the MIT. Hoping to see several Darby names in the list of placers.

No outing intended. I just knew you were a Golden Bear parent that might know about his status.
Tough break for a good kid. I know what you are going thruMy Nephew/Godson just got diagnosed with a severe concussion from footbal and is done forever even next yr his Sr yr.
Sounds like he is handling himself in a great way. Good luck to Kenji!
Thnx for all the love booboo!

The Darby Wrestling Team won the championship at the Panther Invitational Tournament hosted by Pickerington North H.S.. Sam Valenti and Matt Walker won individual championships while Sean Black (2nd), Devon Booth (3rd), Trever Parker (3rd), Zack Donatelli (4th), Chad Miller (4th), Robert Valenti (6th), Dalton Mankind (6th), Joey Conkey (7th), Adam Ruiz (7th), Dylan Schmitt (8th), and Alec Barker (8th) all placed. Congratulations Panthers.

Central Ohio, come out and wrestle with most of these kids and other area kids working to get better tonight 6:45!
We have great drill sessions and grinders to get you ready to go to the next level!

Cthelites, at this point, I just don't care about being known. I was just bugging you.

I'm just glad that UA changed their concussion awareness training for all coaches as a result of Kenji's concussion. I can't undo what happened to him but I can do my best to prevent it from happening to anyone else. No kid or parent should have to go through anything like that if it can be prevented by additional training and knowledge. As much as I love wrestling, it's just one small part of life.

Best of luck to your nephew/Godson. It's a long journey back and I wish him the best. Let me know if I can be of any support; we have accumulated a lot of experience over the past year...

Great to see the Darby kids win the PN tourney-nice margin of victory too!

We were there on Sunday with our little guys. Took 3 firsts and a second. Kenji was able to re-connect with his old work out partner formerly of DeSales---some kid named Payton was reffing on Sunday ;~)

I'm very glad that the Darby room is open on Mondays to provide an opportunity for kids to get mat time and work on techniques. I'd love to see Central Ohio start to make some real impact at the state level. Thanks for all your efforts!

Im going to have to figure that one out bb.
I just looked at the schedule and noticed Mondays fall on Christmas Eve and New Yr Eve. I will certainly give some notice.
Ill check to see maybe if we can move next week to Wed which would be good timing before the Holiday Tourneys.

Love to have Clayton come up and roll with Zack. He looked great this weekend at PN Gratz to taking 2nd at a great tourney!

Great to hear about Kenji giving back to the wrestling community!
Thnx for the concern on my Nephew. He is in good hands with the Dr for the Steelers. Good news is he got a clean bill of health yesterday! Dont think he will ever play again tho as Dr advised against it since it was such a bad one and that he is so young(Jr) and risk at re occurrence is great especially playing football. Its really too bad because he is 6'2" 260 and still growing and has the athletic pedigree of his Grandfather playing pro football and Father played some Minor league baseball. Prolly would have gotten a scholly. He is a really smart kid tho(he had to drop out of his honors classes because of the concussion) so he will be fine in life!
Dealing with adversities when young paves a pathway in life on how you handle things as an adult.
Sounds like Kenji will do great as an adult in life!!!!

And our usual kids working hard and going for it.

Come out and train hard with alot of good kids on the cheap. Only $5!

Lots of Darby kids train there on Mondays.
Darby just won the Porter Memorial this past weekend with 3 of their top scorers out of the line up. Also won the Pickerington classic early in the yr and took 3rd at the Marysville Ohio duals. Also top 10 placement at Medina.

We also get some middle school hammers coming every week, one that I know of for sure placed high at Philo this weekend and some of the Hilliard Heritage(who won the Porter MS tourney) studs will be coming regularly.
Get the jump on the post season now!

Last week we had over 30 kids in the room and I see it picking up even more each week.

    See you Mondays at 6:45
  • Cthelites

    I lost count at 40.
    And there were studs galore!!!
    What a room tonight.
