    Let's get it started.

Bears coming off a State Championship, hoping for big things this year, return a solid group of kids and add some quality freshmen.

That being said, Northwestern is probably the pre season favorite.

When is the Ashland U preseason thing?.....and who's wrestling from the area?
  • Hunter86
    10. Reid Stanley (Waynedale) Freshman

Is Reid going to be healed in time for wrestling after his severe arm injury from football ?

I would think some proper rehab and caution (time) would be needed to insure it heals correctly ?

the Stanley kid is soft. Play alot of video games...dad cottles him. Prob out for the year. This generation of kids and parents....just video gamers, soft...etc.

Edit: For those of you that are slow....this was a joking comment in reference to another thread.
  • Cabindweller
I hear Reid will be back but may miss the start of the season. rehab is on schedule

Was initially told it was canned.... then it changed to just canceling the dual meets.... Well..... they didn't show up to Hillsdale on Saturday. I believe the state says that a team must compete in 3 points of dual/tri formatted matches to be eligible for the state tournaments... if that is the case then it might as well be canned because no one will dual a team with 3 wrestlers on the team. I know that doesn't answer the question. I guess we'll see this weekend at WIT. I believe they are still entered in this tournament.

How many wrestlers did the bulldogs have last year?

Will they make exceptions? Could the Bulldogs perhaps practice with Orrville or Tuslaw? Kolodzik was allowed to...

    THE STATE OF THE WCAL.....

Dalton...no discernible heartbeat, program is dying.

Rittman...no varsity program, no guarantees one will materialize.

Hillsdale & Smithville...both suffered graduation losses, both must still be in various stages of rebuilding. Not sure what else to say after their respective performances at the not exactly rugged Hillsdale Tournament.

Chippewa...solid 4th place WCAL team? A couple guys (Eisenhour, Morlan) to go with the state proven Heavyweight...and still the best girls team in the county.

Northwestern & Norwayne...let the battle for second place begin!

Waynedale...The best of times and the best of teams. Payback time for all the fun had at their expense during Football season.

Does this sound about right? Opinions?

Not correct at all... RITTMAN DOES HAVE A VARSITY PROGRAM! THEY WRESTLED A TRI ON SATURDAY! One of the youth coaches helps out with the varsity as well and said it was not good... no good at all. They do have a bright spot though. They had a kid win WABC last year. He beat a solid Perry kid in the finals if memory serves me right. I think they may... may... have a chance to beat Smithville at WCAL.
