Fab1bGuys first off all please use the report function if someone posts something that shouldn't be here. I don't read every post and thread. 2nd Sid's post was edited by me. 3rd get back to topic or the thread closes! That situation is not what this thread is about!

Nice profiling of inner city kids. That reminds me that ignorance and stupidity is alive and well in the world.
You're really that naive and shallow minded to think kids in the Hilliards, Olentangies, etc. don't fight? Where
have you been living in the past decade, under a rock.
Kids are kids, period. I applaud the young man for making the effort to do what we all would want for all our
children, regardless of where we live or the social economics of their upbringing. He has made a great impact
on his future by moving forward in a positive way.
I have never met the young man , but have watched him a few times this year, and he has always presented
himself and his school in a positive way. Let's all hope all our children have the right to correct their ways when they error, which we all do, and are not condemned to failure by others. -
Bitterrunner-upFab1b...I get that the thread has taken a different direction, but the discourse is still civil. Why not let the discussion continue?
-
Fab1bI personally think the other topic should be in another thread for that. This is a congrats thread not a bash thread or the situation thread. But keep things civil guys. I'd like to see it get back to what the OP intended instead of being "highjacked" by the other subject. I don't think the other subject is wrong, it happened and its in the news but this thread isn't the place for it IMO.

oldtimer, I do not agree with hizzmuther on Daniels being all to blame for the situation, but I do think she raises a fair point and does have experience in the field and was just trying to give me advice based off her experiences. As an inner city kid myself, I take no offense.oldtimer1979;1106232 wrote:Hizz,

Glad to see someone has the same point of view.Bitterrunner-up;1106140 wrote:This is exactly what I was thinking. If you're criticizing Daniels, you better have never been in a fight. Without knowing more information, I've got issues with the Father, but not really the kid. I had a classmate call me a spic early in my senior year in high school. He didn't look quite as bad as the photos above, but it was close. Was it unfortunate? Yes. Did I wish it wouldn't have happened? Sure. Did the kid get what he deserved? Absolutely. If your going to drop words like that, you better be ready for what comes your way.
Anyway, I don't know Mr. Daniels but this doesn't really effect how I feel about him winning a State title. I'm sure he worked hard and obviously it payed off. Congrats. -
Lou DemasFirst and Foremost, Congrats to Roy!
Secondly and not so important as winning a State title. I just saw the story of what happen,. I have worked in the night club industry for years the kid and his patents story sound like the typical I was a tough guy until I got my butt kicked and now I am Victim. The kid lost all credibility when he stated I was so tired of the bullying I called the other Kid a n-word (edit Fab1b wasn't censored enough). Yes, spoken like a true victim. Because thats what all scared white children do when they want the bullying to stop! I don't condone what happen because I don't believe it will help race relations. However, this kid no victim, he got couple of black eyes for being a blatant racist. He felt so comfortable with his racism he posted it on facebook for all see and now he's complaining about a couple of black eyes on the news. He should just chalk this up to learning a very valuable life lesson. Do Not Call the Elite Black Wrestler the N-Word! -

Do not call anyone the N-Word.....Lou Demas;1106453 wrote:Do Not Call the Elite Black Wrestler the N-Word! -
Fab1bPeople really should a congrats thread and this mess be together? I don't think this board is the place because of the subject matter within the fight. Leave the racial slurs out even edited versions please!! This was not the intent of the OP's thread. Getting to close guys!
-
hang_looseMr. Demas, Please don't pull the " race" card out.... This post was not about calling anyone or the "Elite Black Wrestler the N-WORD". It was a congrats to a state champion wrestler just like your son. We met you and your sons when you first moved here from Calif. and have been fans since. Race does not belong in life PERIOD.
Good Luck to you and your sons in the future... BTW.. Josh is still looking great and lightening quick. -
