I saw Hauber from Central Crossing is down at 145. That makes the district even tougher!

Dont you have to actually make scratch once already and wrestle atleast one match at that weight before sectionals??

    No

    Not since alpha's came out.

There are alot of negatives to do this so late from what I hear, but the positive is IF you can hold the strength with the cut, you are used to wrestling heavier kids all yr(obvious) and now you get the lighter kids.

Nope, he was the big eye opener! He will be huge!

Big gamble.....might pay off and might not. He's already very "decorated" and his career achievements are tremendous. I guess he figured he might as well roll the dice and go for all the marbles.

He's positioning himself to be in the finals and at least have a shot. I don't think he has one, but to win the title you have to first get to the finals, something that probably wasn't going to happen at 132 with Bright, Ward and Squire in front of him. At 132 he was looking at a fourth or fifth, depending on bracketing. At 126 he could slide right in for his second runner-up finish. The main obsticle for him will be thr draw. Does he end up on the same side with Heil. If he has to go through Dillion, that will be tough, but doable...Heil, not so much.

My question is how he does against Wilson and\or Murdock at Districts

As it turns out, Dillion may not be an issue...

Dillon is out (AI) so maybe that helped his decision to drop.
He is the clear #2 at 26. I also agree that he doesnt have much of a shot to beat Heil.
32 had more of a landmine field. I think he has a better shot a beating one of the big 3 Ward Bright Squire as evident of his close match with Squire, than beat Heil, but to beat 2 of the 3 would be a tall order.
I think if he holds the cut he wins Darby comfortably.

I Still think Murdock over Fiorucci...
  • iGranby
I by no means think Fiorucci handles Murdock, but i think he'll win.
Miller moving down is a big move too, I think he has a good chance to beat delande, and make some real noise at the state.
  • Dirtyscramble
i think thats Zach Donetelli your looking at a freshman i think? the older one is still @ 126

By saying I think Forrucci wins Darby comfortably doesnt mean I think he will handle Murdock or even Wilson for that matter. I just dont think he will have a nail biter. Wins by 3 or 4.
    IDK about Miller beating DeLande.
  • Dirtyscramble
I like Miller over Delande as well.

I didn't even see your comment earlier there pal, my comment wasnt directed to anyone in particular, sorry for the mix up there
as far as Miller and Delande goes, I put them on about the same level, yes Delande was the state champ last year, but it was honestly in a weight that didnt have any hammers left by the semi-final round, not taking anything away from him, lord knows i didn't win a state title, and lord knows he has a solid shot at getting another one! I just think Dailey is the clear top guy, with guys like Delande and Miller on that close 2nd tier battling to get in the finals with Dailey, and after the way Miller snuck on to the podium last year, I just see him doing big things.

i think now that dailey knows he can beat DeLande that itll get ugly if they wrestle again...
