Certification??

wrestle2016is there a certification rule that if you certify at one weight you can only wrestle one weight class up to keep your lowest weight class? ex certify @120 wrestle usually @ 126, but wrestle @ 132 for a dual? can u wrestle up that and still be eligible?

cruiser_96In your example, if Wrestler A weighed (let's say certified) for a dual meet by weighing in at 119.8, he would be eligible to wrestle 120 or 126 and still maintain his 120 certification. In this example, he could not wrestle 132 and keep it.
However, if Wrestler A has already certified, and weighs in for another dual meet at 120.1, he may wrestle 126 or 132 and still keep his 120 certification.
The weight allowance of +2 goes with all these.
That is how I understand it. Before you choke yourself on chocolate chip cookies and quote me, ChatterTown, do I have it right!?!?! I'm pretty sure I do though... -
wrestle2016I think i explained it right, but lets make sure b4 i confuse anyone else...
wrestler A has been wrestling all year at 126, he certified @ 120, but has yet to wrestle at the 120...
just wrestled @ 132 for a dual, did wrestler A lose his right to wrestle 120? -
