    I'm confused.....paper showed 4-2 OT final??
  • USMCdevil2005
Nace beat strope. Nace was up like 6-0 in the 2nd period I think and logan got injured and had to default his next 2 matches .
  • ptown3
    Serious injury?
  • Cthelites
    I hope Logan is OK.
There was no sense pushing the injury being a month from post season.

Dirty...Donatelli did win the MOW and as I predicted it came out of the winner of the 132 class.
Dad4...the paper was correct on the score 4-2 in OT
Donatelli also had a big win in the semis over 1 seeded Branham 1-0 riding him out in the 3rd period.

Nace was up 5-0 at end of first when Strope defaulted due to injury.

What ever the score was he looked pretty dominate.

Could we see strope dropping to 126, with the luck hes had at districts i think itll be hard for him to make it out the way hes wrestling
  • iGranby
Interesting that Spearman made scratch for this one, I wonder if it was because so many central ohio guys were going to be here, or to get more used to the cut for the post season. I wont even begin to speculate at 132, that weight is going to be insane when we're all at Darby. Good win for bond over Schmidt..who took 2nd at North canton.
  • Dirtyscramble
Pretty sure Spearman made scratch at Medina, just saying.. i think what you mean was that you were surprised he wrestled 113 and not 120
  • Ozzie8383
I dont think strope can go 26, I think he has spent time at 138, which would keep him from going 26.
  • Cthelites
    Any brackets out there?????
  • double arm bars
Ozzie8383 here's the scenario. Wrestler A starts the season weighing in at 120 for his weight assesment. His alpha says he can go to 106 but not until the sectionals or in early Feb. So he starts the season competing at 120. Does he lose his 106 status because he weighed in 2 weights above his alpha?

No, but you cant wrestle 113 then go 120 and get down to 106.
you would have then forfeited 106.
  • ptown3
Spearman has wrestled 126 this year.. He just weighed in at 120 though to keep his cerification at 113

Cthelites you are right. If wrestler A is certified at 126 but has only made scratch 132 then he is elligible for weighing in at 132/138 without losing his 132. Once he establishes 126 then he's only elligible to weigh in at 126 and 132 to keep his 126 optimal weight. I was just adressing the speculation of ozzie of another wrestler. Anyways I forsee many others opting for 126 as it's an easier road that 132 or 138.
  • Ozzie8383
Someone asked the question and I answered that it is probably not an option. I may be wrong; maybe he has weighed in only at 132 (which makes him eligible for 126 if he is alpha there) and wrestled 138. Sorry if that came off like I was pointing out a kid; I did not mean it that way.

Right. Im not sure what Strope is planning. I think he has wrestled both 32 and 38 not sure what sequence tho or if he just bumped?
I would think there could be some movement.
I think Boswell is the wildcard at 32-38. What will he do? Where has he been?
Fiorucci is another one? Lets say some of those 32's drop to 26, does 26 look that easy now with Murdock Fiorucci Donatelli McCurdy and say Wilson or Strope ?? The sectional seeds meeting should be interesting to see where everyone ends up in these light/middle weight 26-45.
We knew it would be ridiculous once they eliminated 140(or 135 however you slice it).
Heard theres a big hole at 120 now. Does anyone drop there?
Same at 113 with Riley dropping into a BRUTAL 106!

Not sure about the topdog from 32 moving to 26 if that was the case he wouldve been there by now. But at 26 if those other guys do make the move then you would have tougher wts around and more balance.
  • ptown3
Forucci is gonna make his choice based on the level at states, at 126 you have heil and at 132 you have bright, squire, and ward. Tough decision for him

Not that tough. It's never a tough decision when you are NOT the underdog! :D

    Go get'm, Fiorruci!!!

Cruiser i was reading the brackets you sent me and it said RJ Funk from Lancaster was wrestling 152.. I thought he was at 170 and Beatty was at 152... Is this a mistake?
  • cruiser_96
A ha... The email makes SO much more sense now.

It was indeed the FUNK-master flex. Gotta be a nice problemto have, eh!?

Boswell has only been at 138. Originally the plan was for him to drop to 132, Hammond to 126, and Tullius to 138. But now who knows? Your guess is as good as any. Boswell has not been in competition since mid-December, and Tullius is injured with his status TBD.

So I guess we'll just have to see........
