Dad4SportsLooks like there will be a shake-up in the D3 team rankings in the next poll. Hartley is #2, while WJ is #7 in the polls released today.

Dad4SportsPretty sly move there Cruiser!!! 4 deep at each weight! Did you need special permission from the Dispatch Sports Editor?
-
iGranbyThe change to ranking top 4 is pretty great, and the individual rankings are all very solid
-
cruiser_96A few of things here:
D4S: At some point in time, we went to top 3 because we used to send top 3 from the district tournament. That's the story I was given. I was asked to send top 4 by a few coaches, so I did. Oooh... I should have made up some story about how I went downtown to the Dispatch headquarters and DEMANDED top 4!!! Dang. Oh well.
iGranby (and Cthelites): a few weight classes are going to get overhauls as people start dropping weight classes. As I mentioned before, 145 is one of those weight classes that I think is so tight that it is going to be a real dog fight from really 1 through 6. Luft (TV) is not alone in that weight class. Maybe he is and I have it wrong. As for Tullius(CW) - I think he drops before it's all said and done but does not have to in order to be successful. Horner (MV) had a better showing at the GMVWCAXYZ tournament - placing 4th - than did Driscoll (HB) - DNP. And I couldn't deny Fosco (O) and his 4th place finish at Medina. Here's the kicker though... There could be a kid that is right now hitting stride; buying everything his coach is selling; improving his game in order to be on the upswing come Feb. who becomes the reason one (or two) of these guys do not get out. That's the crazy thing about this sport.
A few other names on my radar that are quickly making a name for themselves (given alphabetically): Austin (DJ), Boyd (M), Cline (DC), Dawson (OO), Deluse (L), Tate (HDav). Among others!!!
Best of luck to all Central Ohio competitors. Someone has to win; someone has to lose... It's the nature of the sport. And when you do qualify for the Big Show after not being ranked, I will gladly (GLADLY) let you poke me in the chest and tell me to take these rankings and stick them where the sun doesn't shine!!! Again, best of luck... -
ksig489Cruiser...Sowry from UA at 170...looked good at Ready. He put a hurting on Yeager (D2 #1). I know D1 170 is loaded...but keep an eye out for this one.
-
cruiser_96Currently #5 on my list. And not soley on what he did to Yeager - although it certainly solidified him in my mind. Yeager is tough. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but he is ranked #1 in the area for DII, 170.
-
aces5Amanda Clearcreek wrestled St. Charles and Bishop Hartley last night. Don't remember the score to to Charles but I know Amanda beat Hartley 59 to 9. Hartley is not the 2nd best division three team in the central district.
-
cruiser_96Yes they are. It says so in the first post of this thread! What!? It's on the interweb (thanks, algore), it HAS to be true!!! Doesn't it? Right!?!?!
-
6 minutesI agree! The 170 from UA is very good! The 4 ranked at 170 is very legit but keep an eye on this kid to possibly knock off(at least one of these guys) the 2-4 guys......wont beat Pickett!!

No doubt!!! Maybe you would have gotten a raise....cruiser_96;1039562 wrote:

Monkey ManTate Placing at Brecksville , Boyd 2-0 against Horner victories over Tholman N Tyler Chambers. Wow, how do those guys not make top 4. Espescially with the schedule Davidson N Mville wrestle. Dawson a match away from placing at Brecksville
-
Cthelites145 will be awesome for sure(as will plenty of other weights)!
Cruiser, I understand the process.
I just think Driscoll will be there at the end. Returning SP. Bit of a slow starter playing 3 sports.
Remember how he burst on the scene late last yr coming off a broken wrist from football.
Monkey, Tate and Boyd are no jokes for sure.
I saw Boyds match against Thoman. Great match!
Luft the clear choice at 45, but does he drop to 38? He looks small for 45, but then you run into the Forrider/Ryan tandem.
Im sure he is looking at statewide how he stacks up, not Darby wide tho since hes a returning SP. -
iGranbyI think Boyd could be anywhere as high as 2nd at 145, he had a close match with fosco last year and he seems to be the bigger guy...luckily, thats a match that could happen up to 4 times, dont get me wrong though, i had my doubts about fosco last year and learned to stay quiet when he pinned his way through his district haha

iGranbyand by the way, am i the only one who eagerly checks flowrestling AND gohio for the medina finals to be posted? just curious haha

Same here! Very disappointing!iGranby;1039900 wrote:and by the way, am i the only one who eagerly checks flowrestling AND gohio for the medina finals to be posted? just curious haha
Some one said on yappi where I started a thread asking this, that its not on there cause Ian miller isnt there anymore. I thought that was kind of funny but sad too! -
iGranby
They could be correct, but either way, if you search "medina 2011" on flo, somone created a coverage for it, so I just assumed that videos would be posted eventually, usually the coverage there is better than brecksville, with videos form quarter finals through the finals, and last year they even had 3rd place matches postedCthelites;1039935 wrote:Same here!
