D-I Central District Rankings; Teams and Individuals

I would think that they'd want to be in the same sectional. Maybe not though. It depends on the coach and his team and goals, I guess.

I think its going to be a barn burner if olentangy, marysville, teays , and Lancaster can qualify Atleast 9 or 10 to the district tourney. It will come down to the bonus points. Marysville and teays will most likely have 2 champs a piece, then throw in the bonus points of qualifiers and wins and it will be a tough and closer district tourney this year between all 4 teams.

I'm not throwing out Davidson either, coach d always has them peaking at the right time. They will most likely have 2 champs as well.

Big bro Conner Driscoll 145 got bumped out yet lil bro Keegan 126 makes his debut?

Davidson always peaks at the right time and could possibly get 6 out, teays will get 4 possibly 5 or 6 out as long as everyone OS clicking. Plus two district champs would score points too.
Teays can get 4 possibly 5 or 6 out? Wow!

    Nace Nace Luft Leidecker.
    To devil:
Who else? King120 I would think has a shot.
Im not too familliar with their uppers but assume they have some strength there.

In my opinion Teays gets atleast 4 out. Lil Nace, Big Nace, Luft, and Leidecker. then you can throw in Dooley, King, Ferrell, Dunn, and Kinzer who all have outside shots. Dooley and King are alot tougher than everyone thinks and are starting to come around. Dooley lost to davis (who was a district placer last year) from Davidson 4-3 i believe at Pick North and Lost 7-6 in his placement match at Brecksville. The kid isn't someone to overlook. Another one who has a shot actually would be Darnell at 195, 195 in opinion is the weakest weight in the Division 1 central district. You have 2 kids who are pretty much studs and the rest is honestly any wrestlers place to take on any given weekend. Whoever is peaking at the right time at 195 will get out. Im not saying Teays is big and bad and the big dawgs of the central district, lets be honest, some people think it's a down year for them. I don't think it's a down year, are there more holes in the line up than usual, sure. They are still tough though.

Ferrel has a good shot at 152. He is 3rd or 4th best at darby i think. It will all come down to your draw and who he will meet in that go to match in the wrestle backs most likely.
  • USMCdevil2005
Dunn is a far outside shot, but the kid can wrestle with anyone. He lost to Mike Labry, returning state placer who took 3rd, 11-5 i believe, had a take down and a reversal on him. He always comes to wrestle and suprises alot of ppl. But 138 is pretty much down to 1 spot. Forrider , Ryan, and McDougle are all top 3. I believe Ryan Beats Forrider next time though.

You heard it here first: USMC picks Teays Valley to win it all at Darby on te strength of 14 champions!!!

Thanks for the insight on the Vikings devil!

Wait how could i forget Boswell???? Ok so Dunn has to wrestle the tournament of his life to get out here. lol. 138 is tough with Forrider, Ryan, Boswell. McDougle doesnt hold a candle to these guys, but he is still a tough 4th to beat.

Boswell is supposed to be dropping to 132.

I never said no such thing. lol. That would be sweet but not going to happen. Do I honestly think Teays wins the district tourney, no. I think Olentangy and Marysville are loaded a little too much. I think it will be closer than everyone thinks though. Who knows. That's why I love the Darby district, all these wrestlers bring their A game that weekend and anything can happen! My favorite tournament of the year. Teays just has to learn how to peak at the right time. Coach Nace has had alot of kids doing this much better the past few years, and maybe this is the year it pays off. But I believe they get 4 out atleast with 2 district champs.

Cruiser, don't make me come to the port and disrupt practice and give ya the old blast double. lol. I need some Kingys in my life soon man. Maybe see ya there.

I can see Boswell drop to 132, but I honestly dont think Tullius can make 138, He is huge at 145.

4 does seem rather ambitious devil. Luft and Leidecker are locks. The Nace's have good shots, but that depends on rumors of weigh shifts. Especially if Riley drops to 106 and Boswell to 132 as rumored. 1-2 Riley-Gutierrez, then Wimer, Nace, Disabato, Rhamani fighting for two spots. 132 is nasty with Fiorucci, Strope, Boswell, McDougle, Wilson? plus Black(darby), Durexiou (W.N), Yarger (Central), Notestine (North) who have all had some solid results this year. I may consider 138 if I'm some of these guys.

The rest I don't know. I suppose everyone that makes it to districts has a "chance". I guess that's why they get to wrestle and earn it themselves.

Tullius could make 138 without a problem....last I heard he was weighing in the low-mid 140's during the week. He would have been at 130 last year except Boswell was there. Boz's cut will be a little tougher, but he has ALWAYS made it where he wanted to get. The wild card is Hammond. Can he make it to 126? I don't think he is a good cutter.....yet...as he is only a 9th grader. Since CW is down to a skeleton lineup, the post-season team goals will have been long gone. So it boils down to what Coach Brooks believes is best for his seniors. He has always operated that way.....and correctly so IMO. It's the seniors last shot, so you need to do what is best for them.....

well we will all just have to wait until February to see how it all plays out. Anything can happen on that weekend. D4S it will be nice to see you at Darby this year .

152 gets much tougher at Darby here coming up, assuming Delande is there. Also Cameron WM is returning next week. (crossing my fingers)
  • cruiser_96
    Who is Delande?
  • playground legend
"Inside The Circle" tells me #152 is gonna look alot different in 6 weeks.

Renegade- Riley would be a monster at 106. Is he even certified to wrestle there?

I don't believe he will drop to 106 but he is certified there. He would be tough to beat at Darby at that weight.
