90buckeyeWe will definitely do our VERY best to get every wrestler who weigh-ins tomorrow at least two matches, even if they do not get into the tournament.

tric118Should be a great event we will make it better for next year. The State duals on Sunday have made it tough for us to focus on both events. I thank those of you who attended and hope you come back next year to a much bigger event.

I'm really looking forward to this tournament. There should be some quality matches here. The only thing making me nervous is that you're apologizing for it before its begun.tric118;1041598 wrote:Should be a great event we will make it better for next year. As a coach, what would you tell your wrestlers? I bet it'd be something like "wrestle one match at a time".
You should do the same. Focus on One tournament at a time. Make tomorrow the best you can. Be there in that moment and don't think once about getting on the bus. You've got a 4 hour drive to think about the duals.
If you are in a rush to get out of town, your team will sense it and it will show. The other teams coaches and fans will also. All of their responses to this tournament will reflect it.
how important is this tournament? Well, tomorrow, it's the most important one. Treat it as such. -

Great response Shoot and Sprawl....however....I think these kids are channelled....1. They wanna kick butt at home 2. they wanna kick butt at State Duals....and 3. Which is more important in these young mens eyes????Shoot and Sprawl;1041623 wrote:I'm really looking forward to this tournament. There should be some quality matches here. Personally...I think that nothing is "MORE"important than the task at hand....however...Sunday will bring a Banner to hang forever in these young mens honor.
I am not close to NY....but I think they will perform top notch Saturday.....load the buses....and be ready to kick some butt Sunday! -

He was barely cutting to 132, 126 seems like his "wrestling weight" alot of other kids in the state cut way more than he will at 126.Cthelites;1041925 wrote:Wow! McLaughlin has got to be freaking huge at 126! -

tric118Mclaughlin weighed-in at Brecksville at 131 and class was 134 he didn't really cut so 126 was not bad 128 should be great for him. I thought he looked good today. We lost Moody to a disloacated elbow in the finals he finished won and then was rushed to hospitall how frustrating this has gotten to be. Duals will be fun either way we will do our best but due to injuries we will be forfeiting something like 4 classes, this week alone we have had a broked Tibia and dislocated elbow.

CthelitesGratz to RV and Jonatan on the championships.
Sounds like it was some great wrestling there.
126 sounds like it was tough.
Gennar very tough and good kid.
McLaughlin very tough and thought he would win since the drop.
No prob on the weight cut. Glad he can go there and will be high on the podium at the schott.
I just remember seeing him wrestle freestyle this summer and he looked huge lol!
Tric hang in there on what sounds like another tough break! -
Shoot and SprawlThanks Lites.
Thomas Mclaughlin of NY was the OW. What a day he had in a stacked 126 bracket.
But I'd like to say Congrats to Gennar Feucht of West Jefferson who I believe got his 100th High School Win with the pin of St. Clairsville's Justin Callarik to take 3rd place.
