Yea you figured 38 and 32 would be stacked since they squeezed 3 weight classes into 2 or (4 to 3 however you want to slice it)

Great tournament today. I can have full results up soon.

    Teays won as a team.

Mace and McDougle do NOT disappoint yet again. And one ended with controversy so the next one will be even better!!! Two great kids; two great competitors. Thanks for everything, young men.

I can't wait to not see the coverage tomorrow in the dispatch. I am hoping an Ohiochatter member will step up and post the results.
    Here we go!

Great job vikings. Cole nace wrestled great. Beating hammond, Wilson and mcdougle on his way to the title.

Big shout out to boswell from canal, beating state champ danishek. Dominated until the last minute of the match really.

Davidson will be tough once they get their two studs back and move everyone were they go.

Very well ran tournament to represent a lot of good central Ohio teams. Always one of my favorite tournaments. A side note, the refs could have been a little better.

What an unbelievable tournament by nace...Boswell over Danishek is a pretty big upset. Fox over Bowens may suprise some but I watched the kid do tons of summer work.

The Boswell match doesn't surprise me at all. Danachick way to small at 138. His best chance at a repeat will be 126 IMO. 112 d-3 last year was extremely weak, this year 126 seems very very light especially depth wise. We saw Boswell last week and he impressed me. He did die in every 3rd period I saw him wrestle in last week but thats just conditioning and should get better as the year goes. My favorites at 132 D-3 is still Mcglaughlin once he is 100 percent and Borders.

I think Danishek wins it at anywhere from 126-138. One lose isn't anything and Boswell is tough. I expect him to bounce back at Brecksville, most likely at 132. And I don't think he is able to go any lower from 132, just what I heard though!

If anyone watched Danishek man-handle Screptock last year at Brecksville will agree that he is good and it wasn't because the weight was weak in D3.

The Nace-McDougle match lived up to the anticipation. I dont know how many times Nace has wrestled a McDougle(I think he battled the brother all last yr), but it definitely has been fun to watch.
GREAT matches and GREAT match last night going to the wire again!
The call could have gone either way and wouldnt be wrong either way IMO. McDougle showed nice class at the end not letting a controversial call get over heated.
Maybe theyll hook up again at Breckville next week!
Nace is looking like the real deal this yr.

    Boswell is a MACHINE! WOW!
He totally dominated Danishek for about 5 mins then kind of hung on when Danishek went balls out at the end and Boswell got gassed. Boswell took a commanding 8-4 lead on the strength of 4 straight takedowns. Not sure he needs to go down to 32, he may be more gassed in the 3rd if he cuts down?

All in all a great day. Well run tourney with lots of good competition to get the boys ready for the holiday Tourneys next week.
Thanks to PN for being great hosts!

The fox kid dominated bowens. Beat him down and just kept grinding on him. I was very impressed. I was like where did this kid come from. Good luck to everyone on the rest of the season.

When will Chase Delande be back, can't wait to watch him. Probally Brecksville ? Looks like it was a great tournament
  • cruiser_96
Heard he's out for the year.

That's actually not true at all.

    :D
  • USMCdevil2005
You know with comments like that you could start wars lol
  • cruiser_96
He (and Mickley) were there supporting their teammates. I even saw Chase coaching some kids. They'll be back. In do time. Due time. Dew time??? Due...

Oh, and he (they) will be very, very good. Just saying.

Didn't surprise me at all either.....D3 112 is a far cry from 138. Congrats to Joe Boz....way to go. Nice finish by CW with only 8 wrestlers competing.
