Late start did suck! However, having that many teams in one gym still outta there by 7 was impressive. glad you did not strictly police the outside food thingy. I do not mind buying something from concession but my wrestler can not and will not eat taco in a bags, nachos and cheese, hot dogs and pizza on competition day sorry. Got in line to get him a shredded chicken sandwich and they were out, this was at 1 pm ish. 50 percent of this sport is nutrition!

Great competition! Great tourny! see you next year!

I agree- My son is in high school now but he wrestled the Philo Invitational for 2 years in Jr High and not allowing outside food yet only offering pizza, and other junk food is ridiculous. Kids shouldn't be wrestling with that junk in their stomach - my kid couldn't eat junk like that and wrestle so I smuggled food in for him.

Seriously though - when you have a tournament with that many teams (back then there were 44 teams at Philo) you are already making a ton of money - do you really have to "outlaw" outside food to try to make that much more? I'm always good for a couple slices of pizza and a few Cokes but the kids that are wrestling should not have their tournament-day diet forced on them.

Maybe this should be in a different thread though - I don't want to take away from the Cambridge Tourney.
