cruiser_96So far, I think your dates are correct. I'm out of sorts right now. Hopefully, come mid-May, I'll be back in form.
But again, those dates look good.
A good number clubs and clinics are still going on. Be sure stay on those. In the mean time, stay parched. -

hizzmutherPtown... from the first weekend in August (which is traditionally the state fair tournament) until the third or fourth weekend in September, there is generally nothing in Ohio. I'm pretty sure that this is what people keep calling the "off-season." Except for this weekend, however, borderwarswrestling.com has some tournaments listed for the rest of August and September. These are mostly usually in Michigan and are good quality tournaments for all ages. The Pennsylvania youth wrestling also has tournaments advertised, but most of them seem to be eastern PA... very long drive. Or just kick back and chill and hit some open mats and get ready to go watch high school football. If you have a high schooler.... then the Super32 qualifying tournaments bring very good competition. Google Super32... they'll come up.
-
wildcats1984Does an wrestler have to qualify for the Super 32
-
6 minuteshizzmuther......where's Andrew going?
-
hizzmutherWildcats.... one does have to qualify for the actual Super 32 and there are many ways to do that including some qualifying tournaments. We went to one in NC last year and had blast. I think there are some closer, but I'm not sure.
6 -- Andrew is going to Neosho County Community College in Neosho, KS. 13 hours away from home. This is the school that approached him at Sr. Nationals after just happening to see him wrestle his first two matches. In the end, this type of recruiting made all the difference to him as he made his decision. We are two days away from following him out there and, as you can imagine, I have many mixed emotions. As long as they help him to meet his academic goals, I'll live with the rest of it. -
6 minuteshizz.....Tell Andrew I wish him luck and I'm sure he'll have your full support....keep me updated!!

jazztownThe Jazz Town Duals will be hosted in New Orleans, LA on June 1st and 2nd.
This is a dual format tournament that guarantees all teams 8 dual meets. We also have a designated exhibition mat so that wrestlers can challenge others and get as many matches as they want over the two day event. Jazz Town Duals brings in top teams from all over the South East and promises to be a great time for everyone.
We are running 15 weight classes 98 to Heavy with a 4 pound allowance. Each team can bring as many as 20 wrestlers or as few as 10. We will run a farm system so that everyone gets to wrestle and compete. (Teams may bring more than 20 wrestlers to farm out but max 20 per squad) Also teams may bring up to 3 wrestlers that do not attend their respective high schools.
This is a USA wrestling sanctioned event and can be found on their site as well as trackwrestling.
For more information or to register your team email us at [email protected] -
