Thanks Dad!

  • de oppresso liber
Dad..you've been gone a few year years now..but I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks Dad for always being there, supporting me win or lose...it really meant a lot. Thanks Dad, for giving me space to be my own person. For being the kind of Dad who could let go and see what his son could do on his own. Thanks Dad, for not suffocating me with all your insecurities and letting me handle things on my own. Thanks Dad, for letting me play high school sports with the kids I grew up with and not change schools because of something you liked or didn't like. Thanks Dad, for stepping forward when I needed you to, and stepping back when I needed to handle things myself. Thanks Dad, for letting my coaches do their jobs and teach me discipline and chain of command. Thanks Dad, for teaching me that money doesn't buy integrity, that words mean nothing without action, and that the best trait a parent can teach a child is to be honest.

Thanks Dad, for the wisdom I have been able to pass on to my sons. To let them live their lives and love them without interfering. To be proud of them within ..without embarrasing them by posting pubicly on the internet. Thanks Dad, for letting me participate in sports and just let me be a kid.

    Nice tribute to your father.

I am thankful every day my father is still around as I realize he won't be forever.

Come on, if I hadn't read that huge thread last month I might think this is legit..but I think you are still trying to rip on some other person...move on..I have enjoyed reading about sectionals, etc....

You my friend...are a JACKWAGON.....SORRRY A IF YOUR FATHER has passed...but this is simply a terrible tasting post in an attack on someone inadvertantly.....Im disgusted that Ohio Chatter continues to allow this to go on.

EDIT: 4ringz: you have been a class act, but in the midst of all this...with the things you and I BOTH have been through...you surprise me with your stance you have taken. Perhaps the "Victory Bell should not have been redicated....cuts deep dont it?

Hey beast, I didn't see until right now that this thread was in the wrestling forum, and my comments about the original post were legit. I was not trying to pile on a tongue in cheek slam against anyone. I am thankful everyday that my 74 year old father is still around, and I am trying to spend more time with him now because I know I won't be able to in a few short years.

Let's you and I meet up for a beer or something and we can discuss things, OK?

More classless mindless not so subtle piling on even after the twins season was ruined.... Your Dad would turn in his grave if he saw what a hateful little creep you have become. Our family is closer than ever over this...no one will be taking pot shots next year at this time at us or Waynedale.....Time flyes... you haters will be very quiet until then continue celebrating your lynching..
The4ringz after hearing your family story , its really shocking to see the side you took...All I can say is Wow on that. Ironic hypocrisy .

Ironic hypocrisy because I don't agree with you?

Classless because I misunderstood a thread, and thought it was a true tribute to fathers?

Now you want to compare my situation to yours? Not even worthy of a response.
