cruiser_96I saw the match and it was crazy! Crazy, I say.
285: L-town is up 5 off of an easy- and I do mean easy-takedown to back. Either he kicks him after the belly down or the period ended and is in the process of doing it again and somehow ends up on his own back. Pin for PC.
103: L-town is up by a major late in the second. Clasping. Does it one more time. Spires is going APE at this point! "you have to kick him out! The next time you do that it'll be 2 points!!!" So the kid kicks him - and now the PCMkid is down like 5. L-town shoots in on a BEAUTIFUL double and kicks him so quick, he doesn't get 2! The place is electric at this point. At some point midway through, L-town gets another takedown and with the ENTIRE Lancaster coaching staff, bench, family and fans all screaming "Kick him out!" the kid locks hands again. Spires is now heating the gym!!! The L-town kid is instructed not to shoot for a takedown (I think). He is certainly made aware of what happens if he clasps again. By this time there are 30 seconds or so left and the girls basketball game that was going on in the main gym has stopped and gathered into the field house to watch!
In all the hoopla, the PC kid gets in on a great shot but the L-town get fights hard. Spins around with about 10 seconds left and everyone is thinking just like you right now... He'll kick him or ride him out without clasping for the next 7 seconds. Nope! With about three seconds left, BEEEEP! Clasping. DQ.
119: was about as entertaining as the last match but on a whole other level! Amazing effort by both kids in a match that went the entire 8.5 minutes. I look forward to rematch at Darby. ... Maybe even the Schott. -
playground legendCruiser. The crazy match was at #112 not #103. It should be noted alot of calls seem to be going Lancasters way.
-
Dad4SportsStrope vs. Hunter......assume Strope came out on top in UTB since he is ranked this week?
-
cruiser_96That is correct. Both of you. 112, not 103. Strope rides Hunter out in the ultimate tie-breaker.

I was in attendance and thought the complete opposite. -
cruiser_96Hence the smilie face.
In all honesty, I do not think either coach was pleased with the overall officiating of the match. Par for the course, I'm sure. -

wow...not too often you see a team win the bouts 8-6, but lose by 4 points in the final team score. The Gales scored 26 points in their 8 wins....only 2 bonus points total though.rassler;672219 wrote:Pickerington Central won 6 bouts. 112 by disqualification, 130 by decision, 135 by decision, 189 by forfeit, 215 by fall and 285 by fall.
