Word on the streets was he was dropping. Guess I got some bad info. 171 is gonna be a dog fight. I hope Vick don't show up at East HS. -

Yes. Think he went 0-2 at State. -

Yeager was planning on dropping...but he has been sick and needs to hydrate himself to get healthy. We talked and I felt like he would be better as a healthy 171 in a tough bracket than a weak, sick 160 in a bracket that still wasnt a pushover.mgutrman;678969 wrote:Word on the streets was he was dropping. I also have since found out that 2 of the central district 171 state qualifiers have dropped to 160 for the post season. So maybe staying at 171 wasnt a bad move after all. -

What was the score of the 125 Johnson (LV) win over Hendricks (Centennial) ?lvstat;678419 wrote:Our 103 pounder is Wheeland, not Wheeler. And our 112, Nethers beat Highland's Clemmins last weekend @ Watkins, so he has a good chance at qualifying again too. I think our 125, Johnson beat the Centennial kid at Alder. And Grigsby will not be wrestling, he's out due to sickness. Sophopmore Aaron Kinney will be at 130 this weekend. -

?? I'm confused??decath;679101 wrote:Kid from Licking Heights
The LH coach stated that his 171 (Yeager) was staying at that weight....2 others making the drop to 160? -
ksig489It isnt our kid...it will be common knowledge tomorrow night at the seeding meeting, so I wont reveal anything that might be wanted to be kept quiet.

cruiser_96So you are saying Licking Heights is having their 171 drop to 160??? Ahhh, hoping to get the number one seat. I get it.
What time is this "meeting' you speak of? -

Eagle WatcherWord on the street is hogg from Big Walnut is wrestling this weekend at 215

Dad4SportsInteresting note......Licking Heights and Hilliard Bradley each have the exact same number of entrants....143. An average of 10.2/class.....not too bad. Some of the numbers I've seen at some of the sectionals from other areas of the state are VERY thin.

cruiser_96Two things... I have no shame, and I'd hate to be that 0.2 past of a person.

Yes Nethers beat Clemens and Crum beat Ricevuto. I would venture to say top four seeds will be #1 Price # 2 Brady #3 Capaci #4 Nethers. Crum and Clemens will have to beat either Capaci or Nethers to get out and/or each other. -

Hogg is back and healthy and won his spot back. Not a bad problem to have when the guy filling his shoes while he was out won quite a few big matches for us. Would like to see them both at sectionals but it is what it is. -

You're probably right about the seeds although Clemens will still get some votes....any idea what kind of record Ricevuto has? Does he have any head-to-head results with these other kids? -
ksig489Price from LH has wrestled most of them...to give you an idea of how they did against him:
Price pinned Nethers in 1:27
Price pinned Ricevuto in 4:57 (score was around a major at the time of the pin)
Price TFall Clemens 19-5 with about 20 seconds to go in the match
Price Majored Capaci 17-6
Has not wrestled Crum or Brady -

Although not "scientific", it looks like after the top 2, maybe there will be a heck of a battle to get the last 2 spots?ksig489;680603 wrote:Price from LH has wrestled most of them...to give you an idea of how they did against him:

cruiser_96ps: Price also got a win over Groveport Madison, albeit lucky.

cruiser_96Almost teching a kid before controlling a kid to his back for the fall!?!?! If that's not luck, I don't know what is!
...perhaps cause he's Irish. -

Capaci seemed to have a pretty dominant win over Crum in their dual meet this past week, perhaps he is number 3? Brady is very good as well. -
shamelessBW Fans..What happened to your other 215 Brown? Heard he was focusing on Football Career. Didn't see he signed with anyone. What up?
